Plaid is now 86k. RS3 8Y is 70k plus markup unless you get lucky or someone delists. Buying a used 8V is risky and you’ll still pay a premium unless it’s been trashed. 8Y hasn’t been released yet but is inevitable in the future hopefully. - IMS 850 v2 turbo kit, down pipe, midpipes, intercooler, dsg catch can, engine catch can, IE intake - Built head (ported, springs, valves, retainers) - Fully built bottom end - IMS upgraded clutches, wavetrac diff, MSS track suspension, 034 sway bars and other suspension parts - Custom Code ECU/TCU tuned for E85, with EBC - TSW 18x9.5 Interlagos wheels wearing Bridgestone RE71R’s 255/35 in a square setup - Custom built 3.5” exhaust Costs over 20k. There’s more to it all than just some turbo kit in order to dip into the “8s” ladies. It’s a lot of management as well at this level. Unitronics stage 3 is more plausible for most but will not beat the Plaid. RS3 had issues as always😮 Plaid needed a higher charge level and preconditioning as always. True that weight reductions which include rotational mass will put a Plaid in the 8.7s without track pack, and without voiding the warranty; compared to a newer 8Y that’s still stock, and retains the warranty. I like both cars for different reasons.

You’re not far off because the v10’s used in both the R8’s and the Huracán’s are practically 2 inline 5’s stuck together. Hence similarities in sound and tuning potentials
