Sir I am having a doubt in pgbp problems In institute que.no.9 page no.4.331 In adjustments -An amt was paid as salary to a staff throughout the year and that is not recorded in the books of accounts In ans -they added that amt. Why they added that amt I am not understanding that point sir. Sir can u please clarify this doubt sir 🙏🙏🙏

please check the notes given, we can take either of 2 view, 1. assuming its an error (forgot to record + satisfactory expl) - no need to add here. 2. Intentionally omitted (unexplained entry = taxable u/s 69c) - hence added here and taxed at spl rate of 60%)

opening stock means, it will come on trading debit side (exp), if it is already undervalued we need to still increase >> still debit >> deduct. same logic applies to closing stock.
