What language is the song being sung in at 19:49? It sounds like something other than Tahitian.

Well French Polynesia isn’t just Te Reo Maohi from Tahiti, but also the Tuamotus, Marquesas and Rapa Nui etc. But sounds Tahitian to me… what makes you say otherwise? Could be Paʻumotu, besides Austral or Mangareva.

@@kilipaki87oritahiti What made me think it wasn’t Tahitian is I could hear some ‘k’ and ‘ng’ sounds and afaik Tahitian replaced them with glottal stop but maybe it is Tuamotu.

Excellent observation, this is a Cook Island action song. K's and ng are consonants of the Cook Island Maori alphabet.

Correct, 17:50 to 26:43 are in Pa’umotu language from Tuamotu, we have similar language with cook island but we use "H", their is closer to Rapa iti. Marquisas don’t use "G" an "R". Most of the songs are composed and sung by the dancers for competitions like Heiva in Tahiti, they rarely release them, here it’s Temaeva a well known group of dancers from French Polynesia
