This band is the perfect example to prove the superstion of singing rock and metal will ruin your voice wrong. They have perfect control over the gain and smoothness of their voice. Love these guys

Agreed. I don't have hard evidence to back this up, but I imagine rock and metal vocalists get a lot more formal vocal training than people realize. When you're doing shows every night or long studio sessions, it's super important to have the fundamentals nailed down, regardless of whether you do all cleans, harsh vocals, or screaming/growling.

@@PhoebusAmoebus Metal vocalists (male or female) who do death growls need a HECK of a lot of formal training to do it right, else it is ridiculously simple to wreck your vocal cords permanently; I can tell you for sure that the likes of Angela Gossow and Alissa White-Gluz would have had to do all manner of vocal exercises and training to be able to pull off their signature styles and still be able to speak normally.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm obsessed with Italian bands. Then I listen to Temperance, Kalidia, Secret Rule, Elvenking, Secret Sphere, Elegy of Madness, Moonlight Haze (I'm just listing today's soundtrack!) and then it's obvious. There a so many amazing bands from Italy. I need to move there so I can see them all live in concert.

Perhaps you have to dig deeper. The 2 albums I'm looking most forward to are "Grim" by Dark Sarah and "I Like It" by Toehider. Ayreon is also making a new album. Those are just the "new" things I am looking most forward to, but there's plenty of good "new" music without "growling and screeching". Temperance is doing a great job though and one of the few promising bands Scarlet Records has produced. Luckily they're not with that terrible record label anymore.
