Sauf pour ce qui est de ceux qui ne peuvent comprendre : ce n'est pas la stupidité qui ne leur permet pas de comprendre. Ils sont d'abord STUPIDES, donc ce niveau le leur permet pas de comprendre, pas plus que ces magnifiques subtilités et sonorités artistiques produites par cette belle artiste, pas plus que d'autres choses d'ailleurs. Cette dame est d'abord MAGNIFIQUE... et de plus elle est effectivement fantastique, bien d'accord avec vous .... C'est un produit rare de l'Allemagne, mis à part les Mercedes... ! Imaginez ce qu'ont dû ressentir les privilégiés et autres esthètes de ce somptueux théâtre rococo devant les cordes virtuoses de Venise et les effets de chant de la mezzo. Perso, je le vois très bien. Le toucher incomparable des cordes vénitiennes, comme ici, délivre de tout.

Sólo ella puede interpretar Haendel, Brosschi o Porpora como debe ser! Es una joya de la opera está exquisita dama! Un diamante inigualable, magnífico y espléndido! Su voz ,la dulzura que transmite, la dicción, la coloratura y la bellísima y cautivante interpretación así como el dominio del escenario la hacen totalmente digna de ser elevada a la categoría de una DIVA ! Es un verdadero privilegio coincidir y escucharla! No tengo el placer de conocerla sino por grabaciones pero la adoro! At last I've found a soprano that doesn't sing with too much vibrato, Baroque vocal music is often spoilt with heavy vibrato. It just sounds messy with music like this that requires a clean line. Simone Kermes is a master with this beautiful music.

gerard barbier: I realy admire the vocal technique of Bartoli. A-grade no doubt! I do get annoyed however by the loads of air she consumes when singing. Where is Franco Fagioli in your rating? As long as one doesn't get distracted by his odd mimics sometimes I value him as a sublime countertenor, technically ahead maybe than Jarousky.
