Nice video! My 8 year old daughter is having a blast with this game. After being helped with the rules and game play she now often plays solitaire controlling multiple characters and the monsters. The adventure guide does stitch a loose storyline through the possible campaign but we like to go off script as well. The game has provided allot fun for my family.

When I notice you just uploaded new game reviews I do the impression of that Soviet Admiral being pleasantly surprised to see Ramius' letter in his pile, in Hunt For Red October. "Ahhhh! Marko!" :-)

I really did not think I needed this fourth installment of the D&D board games. However, you have shown me the error of my ways...this does seem 'more of the same', (which is a good thing), but with enough new nuances to warrant obtaining it. Thank you for your insightful reviews Marco.

AWESOME review. Love the D&D board games. 4th edition is the best ruleset for this type of game.

I think that if you are a roleplayer familiar with the RPG products that these games are based on, all of the richness that you feel is lacking is brought in by the minds and imaginations of the players. That's not necessarily an invalidation of what you are saying, of course - these games should still stand on their own. I just know that I feel like I have a very rich experience when playing, say, Lords of Waterdeep, whereas if it was just a random worker placement game with an unfamiliar setting, I would very likely not have given it a second glance. Great overview and review as always, of course.

If you were to recommend just one of these games to someone to see if they would like the whole series which would it be please? Great review as always!

"Carlos The Dwarf". Is that a reference to the show "Freaks and Geeks", or just a coincidence?

Here's a game you can play. If you played each game in your collection just the once, without any break between one game and the next, how long would it take to go through all the games?
