This is the best version of the song & no music video was made for it, so I made this using footage of Sisters of Mercy on TOP 1992, footage from the MTV video, The Cathedral, and some lame medieval video. I was thinking about incorporating footage of Ofra Haza singing other stuff and syncing it so I could do without the other filler, but I'll see what happens.
I also UL it to my Facebook page (I replaced the Medieval footage with Ofra Haza singing on this one) :
video/video.p...
Update: Video apparently now available in all countries

Somewhat similar. In my two floor club the dance floor was on the ground floor, one of the bar upstairs which was the only one serving a special drink. So you stood in a jam-packed tiny bar area, waiting for your chance to get your drink, and the first notes of this song comes up. The surge down the stairs was quite dangerous as so many people rushed down simultaneously. As a guy, checking my make-up was never a real problem. :D

@@arip172 I think it depends on whether you take the outward Wikipedia classification system or whether you go on the music and evoked feelings. I would classify T Rex as Goth and say they were Goth before Goth existed. This is easy for me as I have precognition as an everyday sort of experience and so linear time isn't always the right way to look at things. I know most people don't think like that and so I understand your point of view.

Back in the day, spoiled by an onslaught of top grade alternative rock music, we took tracks like this one for granted... the DJ's next mix would trump the previous one and on that went till "last call" when we would all rush to the bar for one final beer. Decades later, songs like this produce a mix of nostalgia and retrospection to the soul, and an added dimension of audio ear candy to the brain. p.s. good video editing !

With Ofra Haza (RIP) With the fire from the fireworks up above me With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain at hand You run for cover in the temple of love You run for another but still the same For the wind will blow my name across this land In the temple of love you hide together Believing pain and fear outside But someone near you rides the weather And the tears he cried will rain on walls As wide as lovers eyes In the temple of love: Shine like thunder In the temple of love: Cry like rain In the temple of love: Hear my calling In the temple of love: Hear my name And the devil in black dress watches over My guardian angel walks away Life is short and love is always over in the morning Black wind come carry me far away With the sunlight died and night above me With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain inside You run for cover in the temple of love You run for another it's all the same For the wind will blow and throw your walls aside With the fire from the fireworks up above With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain You run for cover in the temple of love I shine like thunder cry like rain And the temple grows old and strong But the wind blows longer cold and long And the temple of love will fall before This black wind calls my name to you no more In the black sky thunder sweeping Underground and over water Sounds of crying weeping will not save Your faith for bricks and dreams for mortar All your prayers must seem as nothing Ninety-six below the wave When stone is dust and only air remains In the temple of love: Shine like thunder In the temple of love: Cry like rain In the temple of love: Hear the calling And the temple of love is falling Down In the temple of love: Shine like thunder In the temple of love: Cry like rain In the temple of love: Hear my calling In the temple of love: Hear my name In the black sky thunder sweeping Underground and over water Sounds of crying weeping will not save Your faith for bricks and dreams for mortar All your prayers must seem as nothing Ninety-six below the wave When stone is dust and only air remains the only haven you can trust And the devil in black dress watches over My guardian angel walks away Life is short and love is always over in the morning Black wind come carry me far away With the fire from the fireworks up above With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain you You run for cover in the temple of love I shine like thunder cry like rain And the temple grows old and strong But the wind blows longer cold and long And the temple of love will fall before This black wind calls my name to you no more In the temple of love you hide together Believing pain and fear outside But someone near you rides the weather And the tears he cried will rain on walls As wide as lovers eyes In the temple of love: Shine like thunder In the temple of love: Cry like rain In the temple of love: Hear my calling And the temple of love is falling Down
