Near the Royal Palace is the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (WAT PHO). The statue of the Reclining Buddha depicts the image of Buddha entering the state of Nirvana, it is built of bricks and covered with a thin layer of gold. It measures 46 meters in length and 15 meters in height, filling almost the entire area of the building. Each foot of the statue is 3 m high and 5 m long.
In the temple complex, you can also find the largest collection of Buddha statues from various periods of Thailand. There was also a school of traditional Thai massage in this place. The ashes of the deceased are located in the temple.
