Templo del Fuego HD POV PortAventura Park

Templo del Fuego (Temple of Fire) isn't a thrill ride - it's a thrill show! There are two parts to this spectacle, with the second part ending in a fabulous, climatic, visual delight of fire and water effects. In a park filled with amazing coasters, it's only appropriate to have a show that matches the rides in intensity.
PortAventura Park is located near the city of Tarragona in Salou, Spain.

I miss the show, me and my family go in October to salou spain. I love the rides, shows and the food. But when its during halloween throughout October. They turn the show in a horror walkthrough. I least i have memories of the show and the fire was great

I hate how they tuned it down. The flame that comes from the god's mouth is now so small that his face gets all black. There is barely any fire to push the stairs up (which makes this effect completely unrealistic). Back when it was still owned by Universal there was a lot more fire and smoke and also a second actor that warned you not to go inside (it was awesome how the macho actor dropped down from the ceiling in the first part). Now you can see exactly where the pipes under water are, because that is the only place there is fire. They used to pump so much gas into the water that the whole lake was filled with fire. Don't get me wrong: It is still an amazing show, but they tuned it down enough to see all the technic behind it which kinda destroys the illusion. It was just way better under Universal.

I've been on this tens of times, and fricking love it! One of my fave things at the park, but they should do some English shows! I'd love to hear what they're saying one day!

In the video you can hear him saying some English which gives a basic understanding of the story. The original version was much more clear though. It went like this: You entered the temple and a scientist was busy decyphering the Mayan language. She gets surprised when she sees the group and welcomes everybody to the excavation site. She explains that "behind the door many treasures await". Then a second actor drops down from the ceiling. He's the macho guy you see in this video. He tries to force the door open. When this doesn't work he wants to blow it up with dynamite, but the first actess warns him not to do so (all body language and Spanish, but still very clear as I myself don't speak Spanish myself). Then she explains "The stone is the key" and she decyphers on how to turn the stones in order to open the port. It goes about the same as in the video (with the macho guy turning out to be very scared). When the port opens, a skull can be seen behind it (not visible in the video) the lady sees it and warns everybody not to go inside and tries to stop the people, but the macho guy invites the people to go in and everybody follows including the girl. She stays near the audience when the macho guy goes through the adventure, after the door closes behind our backs. There used to be LOTS more fire than you see in the video. In the end she would open the exit and tell people an epilogue in Spanish before everybody could leave the temple. If you see how good this show still is now it may be hard to believe, but it used to be Much Much better back when the park was still run by Universal.

Yes. Thats the one. Thank you. In my personal opinion its the best themed top spin to date. Obviously Tomb Raider: The Ride (Kings Island) would win that title if it was still around.

When I was in the Temple of Fire this summer, the actor abandoned us jumping into the skull's mouth and never came back. We were so sad.. :(

If I remember correctly it was flipping boiling right at the front, also I loved it when the platform fell a little at the end because everyone thought it was over and we're getting ready to leave when I went there last

Then the staff tell us to leave the temple because there was a problem.. This happened just after we get blocked in Sea Oddyssey because there was a problem too..

Porque en Halloween hacen un pasaje en todas sus colas y en el templo y en temporada baja ya no abre. Sólo abre en temporada alta y ya. En sí es por ahorrar ya que el coste del mantenimiento de la atracción es muy elevada.
