This song is so chilling to begin with, like a spacial rift stuck in a constant rewind. Grounded with that sleek yet gentle beat - a tapestry of woven rhythms. Distilled by a great chilling performance before it all comes crashing back into reality. Major props to Veela - her magnetic voice pulls you more and more into the song; constant repeat! Like an inverted tornado, starts broad but twists and turns you to a beautiful peak at the end of the song. And then that spacial rift once again.

It is 7 years since I discovered Veela and it is almost 7 years since I lost a friend, not in the physical sense but the philosophical sense. Now I find myself in similar waters as the tides of history repeat with a new friend and again I find a Veela video wherein the lyrics speak straight to my heart. It saddens and both enboldens me at a time where I could easily let myself fall into the same downward spiral that nearly killed me all those years ago. But that was before the counselling and I won't let the lessons of 4 years group therapy be forgotten. What does not kill us makes us stronger and without the bad there is no context for the good. Merry Chirstmas everyone. Even those I find myself on the wrong side of the tide of.

Dear lord the passage of time is merciless. I find myself returning to this track 2 years later on a day of happiness in amongst days of woe. I finally found someone who could be more than a friend but alas. She is in a coma, these past few weeks, after complications of covid and a car crash. My heart aches even as I smile having had good news financially today but I'd give it all just to be her side right now. Godspeed dear reader, just thought I'd share the evolution in one's personal journey.

I first found this song years ago back in 2014-2015 era. Just happened to be going through all my old paperwork for my band when I found a list of songs we had wanted to cover. On the very bottom of the page, penned in pink by out short lived female vocalist, was this song. I had long forgotten about this amazing song, and several others on that list.
