Them black things are float stoppers, they are used for cigar floats and you put them on your main line. In the uk we use them on are hook lengths for rag worm so the worm doesn't slide up your line when casting.

In the U.S we call them Bobber Stoppers but they can also be used for Texas Rigs to stop your weight from sliding up and down the line

yup a drop shot weight and the ones above them we call bullet weights, you can use the float stops to keep your bullet weight from sliding up your line as well turns a weedless bait into more of a jig that way, or what we tend to call a texas rig
