The extension that has the fade, it may not be an ombré like you expect. Sometimes they are faded by having different lengths. The way you can tell is to follow one strand from the end to the loop. The long nail art brush is to help create long thin lines. After a little practice you might find it will help with eyeliner or detail work. It’s very similar to an auto paint brush called a pinstripe brush.

I absolutely agree with you that snaps are better and they last so much longer. I have a lot of older Barbie clothes where the Velcro cracked or no longer stayed closed and I replaced most of it with snaps.

You could make little butterfly shadow boxes! Use the acrylic butterflies, and plastic from doll packaging, use fabric glued to paperboard? Use as decoration with all your plants and summer decor.

Great finds! I have a possible idea for your headbands… hopefully my explanation can help get your wheels turning even more, and not confuse you (or me explaining) so here goes… 😆 You can order (or buy) “jewelry ring molds”, like for making ring bases out of resin and uv resin, BUT you can also use them with air dry clay. Measure the dolls head and find one that would fit the full circumference of the top of her head to her ears… by doubling that measurement, you’ll have a full General ring size. So, if using resin or uv resin or clay, remove it from the ring mold before it cures, so it’s still “workable” so you can cut it in half (giving you 2 headbands for 1 pour) and mold it for a perfect fit. Then allow it to finish curing. With the resins, you can add mica, glitter or colorize it giving you a range of bases. I’m not sure what stores you have, but I know my Hobby Lobby sells a large ring mold with multiple sizes and styles that you can normally get for 50% off because it’s part of “The Jewelry Shoppe” products (store brand). But that mold is good quality and would be no more than $4-$5.00. 🤷‍♀️ *********OR********** You can find a cheap generic jewelry band and using air dry clay, you can use it as a guide to build a basic shape. Again, before it’s cured, shape it as needed. Heck, you could even use a bottle cap! You just need something to “support” the shape as you make it and give you something for it to stay on until it’s ready for you to work with it. 🤷‍♀️ Once you have your plain bases, you can paint them to match anything you want them to and add the little embellishments like the butterflies, buttons, etc. 🤷‍♀️ I hope this helps a bit, especially since you like making your own custom items. I’ve got faith in you! You can do it! 😊

Shorten up that reroot needle, at least a quarter inch. The longer it is, the more easily it can break due to pressure. :)

I'm with your mom, I like velcro on my doll clothes, BUT...prefer the skinny strips that don't hurt your skin. That's the only thing I don't like about the generic Amazon Barbie clothes. The velcro is too wide, very hard & too sticky at times, it's hard to pull apart. The velcro Mattel or Rainbow High uses on their clothes is good.
