I received Hood Feminism as a gift when it first came out and I've seen the hype for it really ramp up over the last year, but I would just take the leap and read it! The prose is super accessible and I found the chapters on the MMIW issue and medical misogyny especially illuminating.

- I have the same hesitance to read Hood Feminism but it has been on my tbr for a while - Anne Frank's diary is a great & important read--I've seen so many reviews saying it's "boring," "a waste of time," and "useless," which are obviously coming from extremely privileged perspectives! - I recommend Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America by Marcia Chatelain. It's still on my tbr, but based on your other reads I think you'd find it interesting!

@@candacenw I'm glad I'm not the only one who has felt that way about HF! And thanks for the rec, I'll definitely add it to my TBR
