This week on The Horti-Culturalists we're looking at plants that give you wonderful luscious foliage and form in the depths of winter when your spring ephemerals are yet to emerge and bleak bare patches in the garden can be a bit depressing! All are shade loving, some like dry shade and some flower, but really, it's all about the foliage form and colour.
The plants we'll look at in this video are:
Hellebores
Danae racemosa - Alexandrian laurel
Eomecon chionantha - Snow Poppy
Pachyphragma macrophyllum
Asarum caudatum - Wild Ginger
Arum italicum 'White Winter'
Arum cyrenaicum
Iris foetidissima
Iris foetidissima Variegata
Trachystemon orientalis - Russian Borage
