A fellow diamond painter suggested using the scented beads that go in with the wash. Drop a 3 or 4 beads into each container and shake, works like a charm. Best of all they can stay in your container. This works particularly well in more arid climates.

I love your channel...I don't use sticky labels on my bottels..I write on each bottle with a sharpie and when I'm done with each painting I take a paper towel and the hand sanitizer and wipe off the sharpie and strat all over..have never had any problem with the sharpie coming off before I wanted it to and saves from getting all that sticky residue all over the bottles

I'm a beginner at diamond painting, my sister got me hooked on it when she gave me some kits to help me get distracted from chronic pain. I need to keep my body and mind active and use up some brain energy when I'm not able to be physically active (I'm recovering from being bed bound). So now I have a new hobby besides crochet and beading (making beaded jewellery, bookmarks, keyrings, etc). I have to share your tips with my sister, she has been working on diamond paintings that are as big as the one you have of Taylor. I'm grateful for any and all tips that anyone can share with me. I've only ever used a single dot placer but I've bought a set of the multiplacers to try. The only problem I have now is choosing which kit to start. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot (I'm dotty Dot when I'm busy with a dot / diamond painting)

My sister has gifted me a large canvas that is 1 metre by 70 cms and I know I'm going to need the help of some waxy paper to help reach it all. I'm also decluttering and organising my house so I have rolls of labels for different storage boxes... I'm thinking the backing paper for sticky gift tags or sticker backing. I will be saving the backing as I start to wrap presents and label them (lots of birthdays soon and then Christmas). Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

Another hack mainly for beginners. Since most beginners have not yet bought drill storage yet. Most kit up in ziploc bags. For the kits that have the DMC numbers on those heat seal bags. After I dumped my drills in a tray. I would cut that Grey square with the dmc number and color number and it would go into the bag. By doing it this way. The bags are reusable because your not using the tape that tears the bags

I tend to work on very heavy confetti pieces and sometimes you forget one drill and don’t realize it so when I finish a section I turn off any overhead lights and just leave the light pad on. I use my pool noodle as an arm rest. My table is one of those that lift at an angle of you want too so there's an edge at the bottom along with a metal tray to put pens or supplies so they don't fall when it's at an angle, so when I lean against the edge it digs into my arm and leaves marks and hurts! So I put a slit into the side of the pool noodle and slid it onto the edge of the pen tray on my table. Works like a charm! Best comfy solution! Now I need a hack for the best chair to sit in! I don't like hard chairs at all. I've done been through so many chairs it's crazy! I buy the trays with 28 bins at hobby lobby for 2 bucks in the diamond dot painting aisle. It is hobby lobby brand. I use a sharpie pen and label them 1 to 28 and reuse them. I go to dollar tree and buy a pack of 6 containers and use them for my overflow. I reuse them to. I dont buy sheets for my paintings. I use the original plastic sheet they use on paintings and just use washi tape to it to section it off. I bought the blade at dollar tree to use to cut out sections. I dont want to spend alot of money i do cheaply as possible.

I also use those containers but don't mark them with sharpies. I use the small round dots like you would use for yard sale pricing here's how they look..when I'm finished I am able to remove the dots from the container and I'm able to use it for the next project

Where did you get your diamond pencil?

Hi just found your channel today. I have made quite a few diamond paintings. I have made one of my late dog Pip which is now leaning on the box of his ashes. I would like to ask a question if I may. I have noticed with a few bags of just the black drills, that they seem 'wet or greasy' and stick together more than other colours. Is there a reason for this? or is it just one of those things. Sorry if I sound stupid about it.

You are absolutely not sounding stupid at all. It’s weird I know. Sometimes they come that way or it looks like there is powder on them. The greasy or wet drills are (in my opinion) that way because of the machinery that produces them. I may be totally wrong but that’s what I’m thinking. The powdery drills may be from something the factory puts on them to combat static. Again…these are just my thoughts and opinions. What I do is get a fine strainer from my kitchen, put the drills in it and run warm water and a bit of dish soap over them. I then lay them on a paper towel to dry and it should take care of it. I hope that helps!💕💕
