I think ETH tries to place the principle of loyalty to good performances. However, this principle immediately falls off when he refuses to dislodge Rashford from the starting XI. We did see good phases of play with the team being able to play through the press. However, what's worrying is, ETH still seems to fail to properly organize his backline for defending situations at the end of the matches. Moreover, his philosophy for attacking play is not clear. The front players seem to lack the idea of what to do in the final third, still! All in all, if somethings, if they were just a bit better, we could have beaten Brighton today. Thats the sad part. This was not a game that we should have lost but we did. Lets see how the following 3-4 games go.

A fundamental problem the players and ETH have is not creating chances. In this game we did a lot of having the ball, looking where to pass forward then turning around and passing it back. Also on another matter: In about the 90th minute Mctominay had a volley in the box and it struck a Brighton player (which looks like is stuck his arm that was way out to the side of him) but there was no replay or any mention of it?? Even the commentator was about to say something about it being handball but then quickly said "great defending" blah blah....very suss
