The likes of Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay, Wan Bissaka, Evans, etc are genuine bottom half of the table to relegation level players. When squad players like them that should have been gone years ago/was brought in to be a practice homegrown body (Evans) are being forced to play significant minutes due to injury you have to be realistic about results and look bigger picture.

I don't want frimpong if we keep ETH, he is not a defensive-oriented coach. he focuses more on build-up, counter-pressing and team fluidity (which isn't criticism labeled at him); I just don't want him because ETH's system doesn't cover the individual's weaknesses (like defending for Frimpong) unlike Klopp and Pep does.

I don't think Ineos are looking for a quick fix solution because they realise there isn't one. They will be looking for incremental improvements and implementing changes that they believe will benefit the club in the long-term. The Ashworth situation is frustrating but they'll be looking at what he can bring to the party in future transfer windows beyond this summer. Personally I believe it will take a long time to get back challenging like we should be considering our huge fanbase and revenues. We have several players here on lengthy contracts that just aren't saleable because no other clubs want them on those silly wages. It's strangling the club and it will take years to resolve.
