These players always react to new faces and new training, look at the first season under ETH. I think these changes will have an impact but probably for 1 season. Although maybe this is the first time the manager gets backed with a new contract and that will make the players think twice before acting up.

I'm responding to Flex Playing devil's advocate, If ETH wanted more control or to keep things more the same, he definitely needed to go. Without these drastic changes, nothing would actually change, I can expect to keep the same structures. Forget different results. You're speculating, wildly about what position and responsibilities these people are going to have. Stop with the speculations and wait till we have official titles, Not everyone is meant to be a Head coach call manager. They all want this to succeed because if they bring Manchester United back to the top. Any job they want, they can each get

In a treacherous environment as United still is, the technical staff needs to form a unified front towards the players; Hake & van Nistelrooy will have his back. Though I get Flex his devil advocacy" argument, but it isn't really an argument; sometimes there is simply just one way of doing things. I don't understand why people seem to think Ten Hag cant work in a proper structure, considering he worked in similar structures at both both as head and assistant coach with all his previous employers. There are still interviews online form his last period at Ajax (they are subbed), where he also clearly spoken out how much he disliked he was forced to be responsible for everything since the structure around him collapsed. I hope more fitness and technique trainers are coming in, I don't care what their nationalities are; as long as they understand all the physical aspect, traits, standards etc; that are needed to keep a squad whose style is "offensive football" in tip top shape. Both the match and training intensities and impact on players bodies are different vs a squad that plays low intensity defensive football. We needed a culture shock and the manager being properly backed, and this is exactly what the club is doing. Since Im also an Ajax supporter I love the idea van Nistelrooy is also part of the staff as a club legend and role model. Especially since United also want to focus more on her own youth, its really vital for their development that both in the academy at every stage, and at the first squad; that there is a club legend in the staff. Its one of the most important ingredients for developing youth.

If players turn up or not is totally down to the club. If they don’t allow them to stay away the players will be fined every week. The chances are they will come to some agreement but it’s only if the club says stay away. On De Gea no keeper gets what he was on so of course he doesn’t expect that. He will play when he wants to play and will get paid market rate if that be 100k, less or more. I don’t like Southgate but I’m sure Owen knew him as a child. There has to be some origin story to this much hate, or maybe England underperforming just doesn’t bother me as much as it should.

KG embracing the "I'm a better fan because I back the manager" movement is sad. Honestly, I don't think he believes everything he's saying in support of this manager. Last season, he set a goal not to flip-flop, the receipts are there. ten Hag is still going to do nothing next season zero aura he's not the one.
