@@dalesnaleplease explain for idiots like me. What is the difference between an analog sine wave and a digital one and what instrument can produce a very low analog sine wave? Thx
@dalesnale7 ай бұрын
@@GlowWitDaFlow Missed your comment. Sine waves are easy for sound systems to recreate with good accuracy in the midrange and high frequency areas. Below 80 Hz will depend on the quality of the speakers and/or subwoofer speakers. Below 40 Hz is where many subwoofers will begin to roll off levels by design for protection; more-so for consumer audio, less so for pro audio components.

is it safe to hear in wireless earfones for longer time , say 2 hours, continuously ?
@BrettHoustonTube Жыл бұрын
Nope. It's like microwaving your brain. Bluetooth, Wifi and many such devices operate on the same freq. 2.45 GHz but simply a lower energy rating. 2.45 GHz is the same freq as a microwave oven. The range between 900 MHz and 3 Ghz excites the Hydrogen molecule. It's like an outdoor microwave oven system. Since humans are mostly water, water is mostly hydrogen. When energized it will heat you up from the inside out. This freq will also break the Van Der Waals bonds, that's the electromagnetic field that holds the double strand helix together on your DNA. In other words, this damages cells causing "cancer" among many, many other ailments.

@dalesnale4 жыл бұрын
The 60hz transformer has overtones at higher frequencies making it audible to the listener. The sine wave has no overtones, thus an unnatural listening phenomenon that you won't encounter in the real world.

@6squall95 жыл бұрын
It's great, humming some of the notes (C3#) even creates an illusion of the "pure" sine wave changing the pitch, which i'm pretty sure should prove that it's not actually "pure" and actually does have some overtones and by humming certain notes you can strengthen or weaken some of them creating the illusion of the change.

Try it with headphones of a sound system. 50Hz is so low it will not be heard on laptop, tablet or phone speakers. In fact, these devices, like old TV sets had a built in low cutoff between 80 and 100Hz to protect the tiny speakers from low frequency damage. And the sine wave has no upper harmonics or overtones which would help make it audible. Thanks for commenting.
@dalesnale6 жыл бұрын
50 cycles per second is such a low frequency it cannot be accurately replayed on phones, tablets laptops and even some headphones. A subwoofer will play it back.
@Elistarielle6 жыл бұрын
No it isn't. I'm listening on a laptop with plugged in headphones. I can feel it (not like a loud bass, but more subtle), more than I can hear it, but it's definitely there.
