I’ve never been on a flight that long, and I’m pretty sure the kids handled it better than I would have! Room tours with Parker was a smashing success. I love knowing that talking into a fan is loved by children today as much as it was when I was a kid. Instant entertainment. 😆

My first European trip, I was 18 months old and my brother was 3. My parents continued the trips as we grew and it was one of the best things they could have done for us. It may seem crazy to travel with kids but it is so totally doable and so worth it. I think what you’re doing is awesome. Way to go Chris and Jessica!

The town I live in, in New York, was established in the late 1600's and our oldest still standing building was built in 1750. There's history in America but I agree with Jessica, not as long lived as Europe and definitely fewer surviving buildings. I'm always in awe when I go to Europe. Next month we're going to Salem and we're staying at this house that was built the mid 1800's and was the ticket office for a steam ferry. So cool! I'm also from a family of 6, so I definitely feel ya on the traveling together woes.

Aweeee! This was great to watch. I went to London, Paris, and Scotland when I was Jake’s age. It was a Red Eye flight, and we sat next to a wonderful man who had an extra seat and let me sleep there. I went to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower. You all will have such a fun time!!

I feel for Jacob. When I was his age I used to get really sick anytime I had to get up super early or didn't have enough sleep or on those long overnight flights! Candied ginger and apples were my best friend as a kid!

So the funny thing is,I am a British woman that lives in California now but everytime I visit back home,I can't cope with no ac! lol I was fine for years there without it but now America has spoiled me. :D I'm glad you had lots of tea. That's high on my list of comforts too! The only thing I miss here in Cali is the historic buildings. I think the oldest thing in the town we're in is the Macdonalds that was built in the seventies. lol I really enjoyed to hear your appreciation of Europe. :)
