This message was given to me on cassette in the 90s when I was a new believer. I have listened to the message at least twenty times since. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit its fresh to me every time I listen to it. I sense the heart of God crying out to lost sinners in to repent especially in the churches. It's a timeless message.

It was this sermon that changed me. I have an addiction and I'm convicted daily. I serve God not because I'm going to heaven. I see that I'm filthy and dirty, I see that I don't deserve heaven, and if I go it's by God's grace alone and I serve God today regardless of my destination because I know I deserve hell, and I have no more delusions of my worthiness. I would go into hell to ensure that God had his glory, and as frightening that is for me, I'd give up the little I have for him.

This video is profound because of the truth & simplicity it presents. We are here ONLY to glorify and honor God and the truth is we can't. Thank God for Jesus Christ & the ministry of the Holy Spirit who changes us supernaturally, transforming our lawless, reckless, and depraved nature to one that seeks to glorify Him and Him alone. This is the most powerful video I have ever seen on KZbin IMHO. Dear Lord God: please open our eyes, ears, & hearts in this dark hour to Christ's great salvation.

Here in Philippines, we make Jesus as passport to heaven, we are calling them to go to heaven, so justly we have the wrath of God. We deserve hell right now. Everybody can pray, praise his name and then afterwards find some place where they could drunk. Nobody was afraid to this coming King, we expect we will be save. Somebody has to preach these things. The old fashion way of repentance & faith, conversion, growing in sanctification & regeneration. Somebody preach the old fashion way.

wow, happy to hear that bro.Most of us under 30 don't bother to think what revival is, much more pray for it. But i do believe it will come whether we pray or not. Our problem is the Gospel. We lost it. We lead them to heaven not to Christ. We preach a loving,merciful, & just Christ but we hide his wrath, judgement & punishment. I still believe old evangelism is the true evangelism.

God's glory is not dependant on men. God will get glory from every man. God will be glorified for his righteous wrath as he sentences the unbelieving and unrepentant to the lake of fire, or he shall be glorified by the display of his mercy upon his elect. God will be glorified. God is glorified. God's glory is eternal. God's glory has always been and will always be. There is nothing that any can do to add to or to diminish God's glory. The question is: where is your place in that glory?

Grace and peace to you my brother, This is not evangelistic preaching, it is a message to believers given on a conference. Try to read about Paris Reidhead here parisreidheadbibleteachingministries org. If you listen to some of his other sermons you'll know that he's preaching the cross of Christ. I can warmly recommend a bible study (so great salvation) of his here on youtube which is in 8 parts. Remember, a sinner is dead and can't come to God unless the Spirit quickens him.

I think what some of the commentators are forgetting is that the Christian walk is a walk... Many pastors are content to have their "converts" take the first step, confess the name of Jesus as Paul and Peter mention we must do to be saved. And they are saved for real. But it doesn't stop there. A Christian that doesn't take any more steps soon loses the experience. Then when temptations come because they have not gone further in their walk they have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof

I am always open to truth...but I don't see a lot of truth in Bible based Christianity anymore. I sense an offer or a re-examining of the issues in your comment...but I'll be honest with you friend, it would have to take some answers from God himself to believe in the Biblical God again. It was the immorality I saw in scripture that eventually caused me to leave the podium and my faith of 20 years. I think it would take God himself to persuade me to return to religion.

That's an interesting, very quickly define what you might view as moral first that way we have a working definition.
@Lipitorforall
@Lipitorforall 7 жыл бұрын
Friend, don't take this as rudeness, but we don't need a working definition. I've interacted with many people about scriptural issues, so I'm not up to going over it yet again. which is why I say, it would take God, not a believer in God, but God himself - to convince me of the existence of this kind of God again. If God exists, and He/It knows and cares about me, and if He can, then I'm open to direct interaction with God. But enough with humans trying to speak for him, in human wisdom, with human logic. I need to hear it from the source now. Anything else will certainly digress back into the same statements and arguments I've heard again and again. And the defenses are not sufficient.
@flameonyouyesyortube
@flameonyouyesyortube 7 жыл бұрын
Sorry, try and not take this as rudeness either, I had assumed that since you where open to truth it mattered little whether you heard it from God or man. I'm not trying to flatter myself in saying I could have changed your mind, but perhaps leave you with a bit of food for thought. I hope one day you'll be curious enough to ask questions again, until then I'll be praying for you, if you don't mind, that is.

There is nothing in particular that is "wrong" with the sound other than the low sampling on the original MP3 conversion of the sermon. I have not found a high quality version of the sermon. Most of the MP3s floating around are sampled low to make them easier to download. There have been some claiming to be a higher quality, but they are just up-sampled versions of the low quality recording and really don't sound any different. Though his voice recording is of lower quality, it is plain enough.

If you invited someone over to your house to enjoy a time of visitation/fellowship & he or she said yes & said he or she looked forward to it. But if when he or she got to your house you discovered he or she ONLY came over to your house to: watch TV, OR demand from you money, or went to your house ONLY to eat a meal, You would JUST be a means to his or her end. He or she would not really be coming over for the sake of the friendship with you. In other words, there would be NO sincerity.

Paris did not say rewards should not be thought about; as you say the Bible does speak about heaven, its rewards etc. like where the Apostle Paul said a crown of righteousness is kept for him. But Paris is saying the whole motivation for repenting & coming to Christ by faith should not be because a person wants to avoid hell & go to heaven. If that's the case, God would be just a means to a person's end. God knows the motives of the heart, if he/she is truly converted or if people pray amiss.

@mrjdoggy Many say, “But I’m a Christian because I prayed a prayer to ask Jesus into my heart.” Washer stated that the greatest heresy in today’s evangelical church is the teaching that Jesus will definitely come into your heart if you ask Him to. He said that you’ll never find that in the Bible, nor in church history until about 50 years ago. yet we see in the bible For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved~ so washer here claims contrary to the word of God.

@luvdady May i ask u a question. DO you know how many athiests call upon God to save them just to prove that God aint real. And they mock him after they do that. Why because it wasn't a genuine call from their heart. SO are u tellin me that those atheists were saved? No because you're lookin at that verse in the wrong context. Salvation comes by faith but the proof of the faith is a man walking in the will of God. "Not evryone that says Lord.Lord shall enter but he who does my Father's will"

Salvation is a free gift given by the grace of God that we receive through our faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Such faith is DEAD without works. James 2 what works are needed? works meet for repentance. Acts 26 We have a duty to God and to man. It is not the works that save us though but the works that strengthen our faith which can by the grace of God lay hold on the gift of salvation. We should remember that its the Spirit that works in us giving us the desire and power to please Him

@luvdady Justification is something you couldn't earn, but is offered to you freely, IF... you lay down your life for the purposes of Christ. If somebody told you otherwise, I apologize. Ig you chose ignorantly to believe otherwise, nothing I say here will convince you. But in your concious, you know better, even the worst sinner knows better. Regeneration and sanctification are processes, 'fight the good fight of faith' does not mean just go about your life as you like and you'll be saved.

@mrjdoggy Washer reminded the crowd that we go through the narrow gate by repentance and faith, not by saying a prayer to ask Jesus in your heart. And we spend the rest of our lives repenting and exercising faith.Repentance and faith is not like a flu shot: “Oh, I did that once.” Are we continuing to repent and believe? so we keep our salvation by works?? thats what he just said !!! works not grace or faith.

You got it all figured out, the Holy Spirit was wrong in His inspiration? Paul Washer is not my inspiration, the bible is, and it is the Word you negate, not me. @luvdady 1. Why do you keep diverting to Paul Washer? 2. It is grace and faith by which we are justified, given the grace to regenerate and sanctify ourselves. Saying that it is not by works is saying that it is Christ's life throught you by which you are saved, not your personal effort. But upon repentance, if you don't pursue it, it doesn't end in heaven. He who endures to the end will be saved. No he who makes a decision.
@mrjdoggy
@mrjdoggy 14 жыл бұрын
@luvdady I would submit then that you don't read your bible. Anybody who does could never come to such a conclusion. You just negated bible scripture in your response, not my opinion, not my interpretation. When people say salvation by works, they talk about people who think they don't need Christ because they can be good enough to get to heaven without, or that they can some how volunteer or donate to make up for their sins. Not obedience, which is the work of a saved soul, not to earn it.

This is fallacy, covered in Christian terms and emotion. Why would a sinner desire to come to God simply because He deserves glory? The nature of a sinner denies God glory, so why would one want to repent because it glorifies God? It is a logical/theological fallacy. Don't you know that God's goodness is meant to lead you to repentance (changing your mind) (Rom 2:4)? Christianity isn't a revelation of the glory God deserves, but a revelation of Christ and His finished work (1 Cor 15:1-11).
@RealJustinReed
@RealJustinReed 7 жыл бұрын
A sinner WILL desire to come to God for the right motives when he is drawn by the Father, instead of being drawn by men and their man-centered invitations, which amount to little more than bribes and threats aimed at getting them to join a club. That is what so many fail to understand, and why modern evangelism has such little effect.
@mrjdoggy
@mrjdoggy 14 жыл бұрын
@luvdady ...a grubby paw. You can't go around telling sinners that all they have to do is accept this free gift, did Jesus Himself not say to 'count the cost' in Luke 14:25-33? Did He ever ask ANYBODY in the bible to ask Him into their heart? No. He said things like, "Repent, you are not far from the kingdom, and the Son of man has no place to lay His head" when people wanted to follow Him. It speaks of abandoning all, so your theology is obviously as dead as your prayer life, or you'd know

@MyLawdImSexy booooo. the most precious thing we ever handle is the human being, who was made in God's image. while never compromising in the Gospel, to treat men so callously is to insult Deity. Jesus is Lord, sent by the Father who loved wretched sinners enough to set them free for freedom's sake by repentance and belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have not love, it may be better that you do nothing and insult Deity in apathy than insult Deity by abusing men. Please be careful.

***** My question is if you are no longer a Christian why are you on youtube listening to men of God and their sermons? That makes no sense to me! Nobody who is a Christian cares one bit if you think this snippet of a sermon is hilarious or not. Before I got saved and I was a staunch atheist I never went on youtube to listen to any men of God's sermons. I had no use for them or their sermons. Yet here you are listening to part of a sermon and I have no clue why a non Christian would do such a thing. To me that is just a waste of time but hey what you do on your time is your choice I guess.
