Been a Trainz user since it was Shareware (I'm old). I never did much Route building until I started watching YOUR videos. I never knew some of these tips like locking the layer. That really helps. Keep them coming. I hope the job move goes well.

Heheh, I knew all of these but two. Those two I never really thought to use, such as layering and mile long trains for mile marker distances. Anyway thanks for the info, your videos have helped me make more "realistic" routes. One I seem to keep restarting it, it's in its 5th version, and it actually looks good! I also noticed I need to limit myself to one place by only setting down a certain amount of boards and finish them before adding more. Otherwise nothing gets done. 73 de SE/1995!

Thank you for taking the time to work with me through this. In absolute medium’s tutorial on “yard ladders” he talks constantly about using the “straight tool” to keep the track straight. I note two times at the 3:34 mark for example

Hi... I just got Trainz 2019 and trying to build something....HOW do I get the mouse to navigate over the map? For example: when I want to build a road, I like to continue the road by bumping the pointer to the edge of the screen and hereby navigating over the map.. I cant even use the W,A,D,S keys, something I can use in most other games

Use the bulk replace tool. There’s an option to delete a percentage of the asset selected.

@RatorLP5 жыл бұрын
Ronald French as a Trainz Dev I can tell you that there is no such thing as a „straight Tool“. Can you tell me the timestamp where he talks about it? Maybe you’ve misheard something :/
@ronaldfrench51385 жыл бұрын
RatorLP Thank you for taking the time to work this out for me On the tutorial “Yard Ladders” the narrator constantly refers to the “straight tool” and at 3:34 he mentions this tool twice.
@RatorLP5 жыл бұрын
Ronald French ahhhhh okay now i know what you mean ;) It’s a tool to straighten up your splines, and it can be found below the 3D Preview of your selected Rail in Surveyor. To use it, just click on the spline you want to be straight. If you don’t find it, you can give me your e-Mail or your Discord Tag, and I’ll send you some screenshots ^^
