Awsome content as usual, really appreciate all the smooth editing you do on your videos, they transition seamlessly. Any chance you can share a link to this route? Would love to do it myself. Keep up the great videos!

Cheers Chris. If you're on FB, message me through the Summit or Nothing facebook page and I will send a Viewranger link - other than that I am not sure how to share it on here. Unless you have Viewranger, in which case follow Summit or Nothing on there and the route is already live.

Superb walk and super weather as well, what a change today mind, back to my padded jacket and woolly hat. Brilliant to see the wild ponies on the Moor and what a place to have a house built, although the name 'Bleak House' may be a bit off putting mind. Haha, loved the solo Summit or Nothing on Great Links Tor and may as well do it's little brother as well. Another great walk out Trev, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan - this was always one of my favourite Tor's, the old Great Links - those views are just something else, and as per usual, the cameras just don't do them justice. One of the best views from Dartmoor. Thanks for joining me again, Alan! All the best!

Well done Trev. Can't beat a bit of Tor bagging. Had a trip upto High Will hays Black and Yes tor last week And couldn't believe that near the highest point in England there were cotton tails and boggy bits and tadpoles in a couple of puddles I came across Views absolutely stunning and not quite as boring as south dartmoor ha ha

Thanks Tony, all good here, sir, hope that you are well too. I've been lucky to get out throughout the lockdown, as I could get to Dartmoor from my doorstep. There's a playlist of my lockdown walks on the channnel - they start off small and have got more adventurous in the past weeks.

I like to get to the smaller Tor’s just as much as the largest ones, but at the top of them they are beautiful. I love to look over at the big Tor’s as you did here really but from other smaller Tor’s, perfect & to stop & listen to the cuckoo’s too, helps to keep you going I find, well a chance to catch my breath!haha Anyway great video again, looking forward to the next.
@SummitOrNothing4 жыл бұрын
Yep, size isn't everything, and the smaller tors often offer a different vantage point to many of the larger ones, in fact the views on the moor are constantly changing as you walk around it. Well, Thanks very much for watching. Glad that you enjoyed it!

Thanks for sharing Trev. 10 miles in that heat? wow great effort! well done. I did a 5 mile flat stroll today but with a grim bout of Hay-fever and wouldn't have coped on your moorland. After your Scafell Pike confession/ revelation, I have a sneaky feeling you edited in the Cuckoo and Sheep sounds? (definitely a trust issue emerging now) ha ha

I pinky promise that I have not cheated in this video, those are the authentic sounds of late spring. There is one more confession to come in another older video though, so stay tuned for that haha. Another great vid Trev....cheers for the mention btw👍🏻....this has to be one of my favourite areas of the Moor. In fact, I kind of did your walk a couple of days ago whereby I did West Mill Tor, Rowe Tor, Yes Tor, The Willhays,Dinger Tor...but from there I went across to Steeperton,Oke Tor and back to the car,so we kind of did a swap😊. Anyway, love the video as usual...keep up the good work.👍🏻

No worries, thanks for suggesting the walk, it did me good to get out of the same area, even if it was just for a week. Sounds like you had a proper stomp on, I did Steeperton this morning, and out to Watern Tor and Hanginstone Hill. Was up at 5am to get up on the moor for 6. Thanks for watching!

Strange - was this comment supposed to be on the recent wild camp vid? For some reason its come up on an older video?! Yea, it is a big cookset, but handier than the jet boil, more scope. You could fit two cans and two stoves in I reckon and do some proper gourmet meals out on the trail in it, and still have room to pack spare socks in it too, I reckon. Cheers for watching bud!

When I do get down to Dartmoor, I feel I need to tick off Great Links Tor to begin with. I've seen it from a fair distance on at least three prior occasions. Something to look forward to! It's been a very hot weekend, although today was quite nice and breezy. I'll try and remember to send you some photos from a walk I did today - all the best, stay safe and keep active.

Again a great video 👍😊 I agree with you about the lovely and neverending landscape. Can you please tell me the definition of a tor? Sometimes it is an impressiv statement on top of a hill and other times - still beautiful - but only a small heap of flat stones just above the ground. And there is again some really lovely photos at the end ❤ Stay safe and thank you 😊
@SummitOrNothing4 жыл бұрын
Hi Torunn. This was a fantastic area, although a little bleak in some spots. A tor is defined as a hill or a rocky peak. I think some of the smaller ones still recognised as tors because they are the only outcrop apparent in amongst the flat moorland, I guess. Thanks for watching!
