My heart is burdened for Rabbi Singer & the work which Outreach Judaism does, and the threat against it right now. Jews have every right, especially in their own land, to protect themselves against these missionaries!! My prayers are with Rabbi Singer & Outreach Judaism. 💖💖

@abrahammani-3445 The concept of the Messiah has its foundation in the Jewish Bible (the Tanach), which teaches that all of the following criteria must be fulfilled before any person can be acknowledged as the Messiah: The Messiah must be from the Tribe of Judah and a Descendant of both King David and King Solomon (not adopted) The Messiah must be a member of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10) and a direct descendant of King David & King Solomon (2 Samuel 7:12-14; 1 Chronicles 22:9-10). Note: Genealogy in the Bible is only passed down from father to son (Numbers 1:1-18). There is no evidence that Jesus had this pedigree, and the Christian Bible claims that he did not have a “birth-father” from the tribe of Judah descending from King David and King Solomon (Matt. 1:18-20). Return of the Jewish Exiles When the Messiah is reigning as King of Israel, the Jews will be ingathered from their exile and will return to Israel, their homeland (Deut. 30:3; Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 30:3, 32:37; Ezekiel 11:17, 36:24). This clearly hasn’t happened and we still await it’s fulfillment. Rebuilding of the Holy Temple The Temple in Jerusalem (not just an unfalsifiable metaphor) (Isaiah 2:2-3, 56:6-7, 60:7, 66:20; Ezekiel 37:26-27; Malachi 3:4; Zech. 14:20-21). The Temple was still standing in Jesus’ day. It was destroyed 38 years after Jesus’ crucifixion and it has not yet been rebuilt. Worldwide Reign of Peace There will be universal disarmament and worldwide peace with a complete end to war (Micah 4:1-4; Hoseah 2:20; Isaiah 2:1-4, 60:18). Wars have increased dramatically in the world since the start of Christianity. All Jews Embrace Torah Laws The Messiah will reign at a time when all the Jewish people observe G-d’s commandments (Ezekiel 37:24; Deut. 30:8,10; Jeremiah 31:32; Ezekiel 11:19-20, 36:26-27). Jesus never ruled as King, nor have all Jews embraced the commandments of G-d’s Torah. Universal Knowledge of G-d The Messiah will rule at a time when all the people of the world will come to acknowledge and serve the one true G-d (Zechariah 3:9, 8:23,14:9,16; Isaiah 45:23, 66:23; Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 38:23; Psalm 86:9; Zeph. 3:9). This, as well, has not yet taken place and we await its fulfillment. I find this very interesting. For me, it explains a lot about many of the problems I encountered throughout my lifelong involvement with the Christian religion It’s also worth noting that although miracles are attributed to certain people in the Bible, it’s never attributed to the Messiah as a way to identify him… There’s no mention in the original documents that the Jewish Messiah should be identified by his performance of miracles, dying, or resurrecting… On the contrary, G-d warns against using signs and wonders as a barometer for godlinesss or righteousness (Deuteronomy 13:1-2)… which makes perfect sense considering that every religion in the world has reports of their own miracles and wonders… so it’s an unreliable identifier Since the concept of “Messiah” is uniquely Jewish in origin, it would be prudent to defer to the original Jewish documents for this knowledge.

Research the Christian's Doctrine of Discovery still in effect to this very day, where Christianity gave themselves the right to go around the world torturing, murdering, and enslaving people and stealing their lands and possessions, all while cramming their false religion down everyone's throats in the name of the so-called "Jesus Christ ". Look up the Christian's Manifest Destiny! We were all wounded at Wounded Knee in the name of Manifest Destiny and the so-called "Jesus Christ ". Read the Entire American Constitution! "We the People " are the three most misunderstood words in American His-story! Matthew 10: 34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. ***************************** _Christian's Doctrine of Discovery_ "invade, search out, capture, vanquish, and subdue all Saracens and pagans whatsoever, and other enemies of Christ, wheresoever placed, and the kingdoms, dukedoms, principalities, dominions, possessions, and all movable and immovable goods whatsoever held and possessed by them and to reduce their persons to perpetual slavery, and to apply and appropriate to himself and and his successors the kingdoms, dukedoms, countries, principalities, dominions, possessions, and goods, and to convert them to his and their use and profit. Pope Nicholas V (Papal Bull 1452) ***************************** The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach (The Real Word of G_d) with a lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Christianity lies! NO Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus, nor John, nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Try actually reading the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah and the Commandments to Mosche and the Children/Nation of Israel on Mt. Sinai. G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never accept anybody else's religion! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? The One True Creator G_d also warned not to add to, nor subtract from the Torah/Tanach, but Christianity did it anyway. Christianity adopted way too many idolatrous and pagan beliefs contrary to what The One True Creator G_d actually said. Christianity is not the group that they claim to be, Christianity is a Wolf in Sheep's clothing! We follow the instructions of the One True Creator G_d, not the lies of Christianity!

@abrahammani-3445 The One True Creator G_d gave specific details to the Hebrew prophets about when the Real Messiach comes. No One! Especially the so-called "Jesus" has fulfilled any of them yet! 1. When the Real Messiach comes, he will be a normal man from the line of David through Solomon and will sit on the throne of David and rule from there forever. *Obviously, that hasn't happened yet! 2. When the Real Messiach comes, it will be at the End of Days. * Obviously, back then was not the End of Days! 3. When the Real Messiach comes, the Temple will be rebuilt never to be destroyed again, and The Messiach will start the animal sacrifices in the Temple again. * The opposite happened back then! The very fact that the Temple isn't standing proves that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach! 4. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world (including atheist) will know that he is The Messiach! * We KNOW that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach! 5. When the Real Messiach comes, death will cease to exist. * Obviously, that hasn't happened yet either because so many people are still getting sick and dying. 6. When the Real Messiach comes, there will be World Peace and weapons of war will be rebuilt into farming implements. * We're still waiting for that one!!! 7. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world, from every language will grab the Jews and say "Now we know that we have inherited only lies and G_d has been with you Jews all along. Please 🙏 take us with you!" * We're still waiting for that one, too!!! No where in the Torah/Tanach does it ever say that the Messiach will keep failing and have to come back again and again. According to Christianity, the so-called "Jesus" already came back a second time, but he still never fulfilled any of those Prophecies about the Real Messiach. So now Christians are waiting for a third coming. Christianity strikes out again!

I was raised a christian and taught that Satan was bad but I'm changing my view because of what the Rabbis are saying, I no longer see the angel as bad and see him as on Gods team, which makes sense.

I found the first question & answer especially helpful! Evangelicals, especially in the Pentecostal church, rely so much on visions, dreams, sensing things, experiences & emotions instead of the Tanach. They rarely even read the Tanach. In January 2020 a clear male voice in a matter of fact tone said to me, "time is of the essence". I have no idea who or what that was, but I assumed it meant I was going to die soon and I should get my affairs in order and prepare to meet my maker. But, as you can see I am still alive. I have been a backslidden Christian my entire life. I have believed in the trinity since I was 4 years old. Nevertheless, things seemed contradictory to me in the Bible. . The last 3 years Ive spent praying for wisdom to understand. Last year I discarded Paul. I view him as the enemy within. Then a few months ago a switch flipped, and I immediately stopped believing in Jesus. I cannot describe to you what your brain does when you realize you have been living a lie your entire life but at the same time it has been so freeing to me. My mother is not Jewish and I have no idea who my father is, but I am becoming so drawn to the Jewish community and uncovering all the truths. Anyone have an idea who that voice was? I think God does talk to us or sends us signs. Maybe I am wrong. Anyway, thank you for all you do.

It is in the first chapter of genesis. G-d creates for 6 days and verse 27 in his image made man and female and verse 28 blessed them and told them be fruitful and multiply. @@kurthill7030 : This may help. Moses who wrote these historical events was not an eyewitness. Genesis chapter 1:1 starts with everything being created. Then it goes on to list the step by step creation.. Obviously the first verse should come after the step by step creation. Genesis 1:27 And God went on to create THE MAN in his image, in God’s image he created him; MALE AND FEMALE HE CREATED THEM. 28 Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “BE FRUITFUL AND BECOME MANY, fill the earth and subdue it, Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed. 2 And by the seventh day, God had completed the work that he had been doing, and he began to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had been doing. This says that God COMPLETED his creative work. Then further down it talks about Adam and Eve being created. If we go to nitpick chronological order we run into problems. Genesis is an overall view of what happened at the beginning.

Tovia does the yak yak. He talks about the Day of the Lord but doesn't want to call it by any other name. This is a silly weak argument. Almost everything important in the Bible has many names, no list needed. The wars will come before the Messiah comes, but that doesn't mean it is the first coming of Messiah. That is the main issue here, no one is thinking the wars at the end will not happen. The only thing is will Jesus return to fight them or is He a fake. Since Jesus fits all the predictions He will return to fight for Israel. Tovia's foundation is a negative against Christ. Negatives aren't strong foundations, people need to see the positive. Tovia doesn't have that, his positive to become a law ordered person. Since the Law is a predictive tool Tovia needs to advance the process, but he doesn't do that. He's stuck in time against Christ. Jesus will return and Tovia will look like a criminal of doctrine.

We know that God knew it was Josiah even if Pharaoh did not know he seemed to know that God would see him and destroy him if he went up against Pharaoh.God seemed to have a purpose because we see great lamenting after for him and I cannot see God saying anything bad after he died.God told his son that his Father Josiah pleaded the cause of the poor and needy.

You need to realize, research, and accept, that NOWHERE did God ever mention the "Jesus" character to us, NOWHERE did He tell us that we need to be "saved", and NOWHERE did He tell us that He requires HUMAN BLOOD (a purely pagan ritual that God ABHORS!!) as atonement for our sins. NO FURTHER SCRIPTURES were given to mankind by God AFTER Mt. Sinai, therefore, Christianity absolutely did NOT come from God! Lord Jesus and the apostles have well explained the facts about Satan, his kingdom, his works, judgment on Satan and on and on. Also about why the hell was made ,resurrection of the dead - how and when the resurrection would take place .and the judgment day and all that. More detailed than what is written in the Torah. "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil".(1 John 3:8).

The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach (The Real Word of G_d), with a whole lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Christianity adopted way too many idolatrous and pagan beliefs contrary to what G_d actually said. Christianity lies! No Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus nor John nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Read the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah/Tanach and the 10 Utterances to Mosche and the Children of Israel on Mt. Sinai. G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendants all through time are to NEVER veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never! G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendants all through time are to NEVER accept anybody else's religion! Never! @ Tovia Singer Rabbi, do you think learning biblical Hebrew language is easy for everyone? Do you think everyone is aware that there are two branches in the Hebrew language? One is the Biblical Hebrew language, and the other is the modern day Hebrew language. Not everyone has the same privilege as you, rabbi! Hebrew language as your mother tounge, learning and being taught the biblical Hebrew language since young! Do you think just anyone can master the biblical Hebrew language overnight? There are only the translated version that the people could rely on before they master the biblical Hebrew language!one who is illiterate in the Biblical Hebrew language, doesn't mean he/she loves God lesser than those who are literate! And not everyone has the privilege of a proper education like you do rabbi! Especially those who are poor! Do you think a biblical Hebrew language expert/teacher is available everywhere for those who wish to learn? Do you think everyone could afford to hire a teacher even if there's is one available? Do you think it is easy as a pie for anyone, especially adults, to learn a new language/biblical Hebrew language alone? Israel has been blessed with a Holy scripture in their own language, which made it easy for them! Yet the others don't! If it's that easy to be a bible expert in the original language, would the people even need a rabbi? Would there even be a need for translation/translator if languages are that easy to master/learn! I've learn Hebrew all by myself, it's free on the internet, a lot of vidéos are there to hlep you to learn how to read hebrew of the Tanakh. I still need a dictionnary of a lexical to understand hebrew words. My comprehension of the sriptures is far far better since i learned Hebrew.

@Jacinthe Fortier I found my materials online too. When it comes to binyanim, it gets complicated, and there's this division of masculine and feminine in the Hebrew grammar. There is so much to memorise! I got frustrated!And learning language alone is no fun! When I decided to take a break in learning, it ended up being a long one with no end in sight. I couldn't get myself to pick up on it again. I'm not a straight-A type of student. It was my second attempt at learning the Hebrew language, manage to go further than my first attempt when I was still a Christian. Aaaaa difficult! More difficult than learning French!

Not a particular dialect. Sorry Tovia, you need not scripture to answer this question. The second religion is like the second wife. He was younger and emotionally driven for his first love. Then when older, more intellectually driven, having already burned through his younger passion, he is a little less swayed by passions and is now dealing with all the upkeep of the household and family responsibilities. Is there any further need of wonder why it's a bit harder for him to get out of bed in the morning? (Though the aspect of "upbeat" style does greatly add in as you stated) Wait Tovia, is not every scripture revealed? If so, then Judaism falls under the purview of you conclusion, does it not? If not, as in special pleading, how so?

For those who bothered reading further, I have every right to use such metaphor in a sociological aspect, since the Tanakh is replete with the marriage metaphor. I have done no great sin, but place the issue in sociological terms which anyone reading with such knowledge would both understand at relate to, except those blinded by faith, ignorant of much else, and willing to project their own failings upon others.

I need to get a copy of the: NJPS Tanakh -- new Jewish publication society. Those who don't have a copy and want the best translation of the Hebrew scriptures, pick up a copy produced by those who speak the language and care most about being accurate in its translation to English.

Talmud was written after Jesus Christ,200-500 AD. If there is a message for non-Jews in Tanakh your rabbis should leave Christians alone and go among them and tell them.We Christians are on the right path.

@@janishart5128 : Only some of the writings in the Torah was regarding the Law Covenant at Mt. Sinai. Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Moses wrote about events that preceded the Mt. Sinai events. What happened in the Garden of Eden. The flood of Noah's day. Joseph being taken as a slave to Egypt. Jacob and his family moving to Egypt. The rest of the Tanach were not given to Moses. These were written by others, prophets included. David and Solomon among these. These other writings have nothing to do with Mt. Sinai. These were about the coming of the Messiah. The New Covenant ended the Mt. Sinai Covenant. One party (Israel) BROKE that Covenant making it null and void. 2 Kings 17:17.....and (Israel) kept devoting themselves to do what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, to offend him. 18 So Jehovah was very angry with Israel, so that HE REMOVED THEM (Israel) FROM HIS SIGHT. He did not let any remain BUT THE TRIBE OF JUDAH ALONE. 19 Even Judah did not keep the commandments of Jehovah their God; God tolerated Judah UNTIL the Messiah was born. Once the Messiah came and accomplished God's purpose, Judah faced the same fate as the other tribes. Jeremiah 12:7 “I have abandoned my house; I have deserted my inheritance. I have given my dearly beloved one into the hand of her enemies. Israel that existed in Moses' day doesn't exist anymore. The Mt. Sinai laws were ONLY given to Israel. It wasn't for the whole world. Psalms 147:19 He declares his word to Jacob, His regulations and judgments to Israel. 20 He has not done so with any other nation; They know nothing about his judgments. Read the book of Job. what you are speaking is the dualism from the Greek and Roman empires which flourished long b4 Jesus and later Paul and those that were what you can a new testament a hundred years after Jesus. that dualism exist today. sorry Hollywood NO SUCH THING. God is One. therevis no other beside Him. ?If you are saying God is not all Powerful you know that is blasphamy. the satan is out there, he is under Gods athority to test us. (I'm a teacher) He must totally follow God plan for us. God wants to know what we are made of.Can He trust us to do good. To keep right, even when tempted. @@LassieSgr - No one is claiming that Satan is equal with God. Satan is the active enemy/adversary of God and His purpose. But, at the present time he is restrained and, as in Job, can do no more than God allows him to do. In due course that restraint will be removed and he will have a free hand to do what he most desires - destroy mankind. But at the last moment the Messiah will intervene and Satan will be removed from the scene. Read Ezekiel ch.28 do you really think that is talking about the "prince of Tyre"?

By the way: the one who will come is Jesus and he will also be the Messiah spoken of in Tanakh, although on that day, The Rabbinic Jews will probably wish they'd never even heard of a Messiah.

Just curious. How do you then reconcile the fact that the Tenak is a book of people claiming "God spoke to them"? If God speaking to people is silly, then is it silly for us to believe that God communicated to Moses, Abrham, and Jacob? With Isaiah, Ezekiel and Daniel and Jeremiah and all the rest. I mean that is basically what Tenak is, a compilation of experiences of people claiming God communicated something to them....... like 80-90% at least. Yes, I understand Tenak constructs the dynamic in a way in which it "excuses" this concept. It's quite clever technique.... claim that only the ancient people "knew" God so intimately, and that modern people don't, and that's why someone claiming they spoke to God 3,000 years ago is more legitimate than someone today claiming God spoke to them....... But why then, should even Tenak be accepted? Because it's "cannon"? Meaning a group of humans decided this was the final word,? That only THOSE experiences of communicating with God should be taken seriously, but no other? And yes, it warns of the false prophets .... of course it does. Every religion warns of false prophets. I don't know. It appears there is cognitive dissonance between the argument about Christianity and then the acceptance of Judaism as literal. Not that I am defending or supporting CHristianity in any way whatsooever. No it is so obviously everything they say it is in the vid. But then how do we not apply the same standards to Tenak and Judaism? And if we do... suddenly, the en tire book becomes allegory, metaphor and allusion. Part esoteric wisdom and life guide. Part symbolism, loosely historical, and based on differing and wavering beliefs over time. Anyway, just a thought. One need not take a religion literally to find truth and value in it.

All that wrote the TaNaCh had the ID of YiTRiCh, TeReM YiTsMaCh. This ID indicates that YHWH is indwelling in them and they can speed for the LORD. This is why the "prophet" 'iYSh BeN Ha'eLoHiYM "Man of God"- literally the man has the character of builder and the carrier of the existence of 'eLoHiYM. This ID is why He always had instant access to the Kings. Do you really think any nut calling himself a prophet could go to the King unless He had a ID. TeReM YiTsMaCh, YiTRiCh is the ability to erase clouds by command. It's the exact equivalent of the ACTUAL translation of "Saymeon en te Uranos" - "coming in the clouds". The person with this ID can speak as YHWH, all writers of the TaNaCh had this ID. When a person says "God is telling me" they usually are having a emotional reaction or trying to justify something or put a name on a gut feeling. They do not have the ID and The LORD does not speak to them, period. They do not have access.

@@YHWHELOHIYM So epistemologically speaking there is no way to know with any certainty. Claims are made, there is no verification of those claims, they can be true, they might not be. The academic evidence combined with reading, meaning material, textual, linguistic evidence... suggests the prophecies were mostly written either after the fact, or adjusted after the fact. Mostly. There are some exceptions. But for instance, the book of Daniel is thought to be 2nd century creation largely, despite being displayed as if written centuries earlier. And there is very good evidential reason to believe this 2nd century dating. Its thought to be Hasmoneon propaganda basically, one i do think one part of it is thought to be older. And this is most probably the case for much of the text. Newer, and very convincing theories suggest Torah itself wasnt even completed until around the 4th century bce, using bits of older pieces and newer writings, as, presented as if written in the past. Now whats the most likely explanation? Obviously that it was written later and backdated so to speak. But it doesnt mean its definitive. Which would also explain alot of the prophecy, its not so difficult to predict things after theyve happened. Not to suggest one cant believe, or shouldnt. But i prefer to stay agnostic on the subject because the evidence tells me one thing, the tradition tells me another, and im sure theres some truth to the tradition, but the evidence for me is far more convincing. Like the Elephantine papyri, which make no mention of Moses, and seems to suggest Yehudi were still practicing a form of henotheism into the 4th century bce at their YHWH temple in EGYPT. Now what would Yehudi be doing with a 2nd temple in Egypt in the 4th century? Doesnt that completely go against Torah/Tanakh? Well..... not if Torah was still in the process of evolving into its more modern forms, the Samaritan, Masoretic and Septuagent. The Samaritan by the way appears to be the closest to the oldest fragments found at say Qumron, but it still appears to be a derivation of older variants, less complete variants.

It's not knowledge at all. Consider that they say the Masorite text had no vowel markings nor context markings such as the siliq, etc and rabbis added it later after return from Babylon.. this is a logical fallacy. It would be Unlawful adding to the ToRaH which is unlawful per the TORAH. FURTHER, Siliq and context markings RADICALLY change meaning. Consider ShuWR and ShoWR in Genesis 49. Exact same consonants and Silluq. One is translated as Bull and the other as a wall. Or consider, BoQeR & BoQeR one with a Holem and one with a dagesh Waw. One means morning in Genesis 1: 5 and the other with the Waw means a shepherd, Herdsman. Hundreds of examples exist in TaNaCh. Your argument is that Jews were so confused that they didn't know the difference between the word for morning or shepherd or wall and ox. That is silly. No there was a master TaNaCh with the niqqud and context markings. Common, "ghetto" TaNaCh's obviously existed of the common man and are in the archeological record. Epistemologically this is the reason for the ID of YiTRiCh, "palace of power in the clouds" SS. Absolute certainty verification in objective physical reality now. Not based on words from historians that have selected evidence for a agenda. YiTRiCh is epistemology, knowing confirmed by objective physical reality that cannot be manipulate.
