Love Lingyi's awkwardness with Shiyi after his realization that he's in love with her. I feel like he partly agreed to visiting Lianfang to try and shake himself clear of his feelings for Shiyi. Though he did not sleep with her, if the hairstyle theory is to be believed. Apparently, someone noticed that after Shiyi and Lingyi do the deed, she stops parting her hair in the middle and starts parting it on the side, and all of his former side chicks have side parts too. LOL

Shiyi was gonna confide in Lingyi but she got interrupted. She should've found another opportunity to come clean about all of the secrets she's keeping from him. They both have feelings for each other and Shiyi omitting the trust could cause unnecessary hurt and pain to the both of them.

Honestly, it was obvious that Shiyi was going to confess something. Lingyi is just dense. It's his own fault if he feels his wife doesn't want to tell him anything. They were interrupted. Sure. He should've looked for Shiyi after the interruption was over to let her finish her words if he really was interested in knowing what they were. But he chose to stay at his room sulking over how she's hiding things.

He has been trying to get to know her better so she will feel more comfortable with him. He is taking the initiative, Shiyi isn't. These are HER secrets. She should be the one to initiate this conversation, not him. She should WANT to share her burdens with the man she cares for. That's the whole point. If he has to go and pry the secrets from her then it obviously means they are still at square one. It takes two people to make or break a relationship. Everything isn't all just Lingyi's fault.

@@animec-dramaskpop6362 I'm not saying he needs to pry or that he is the bad husband. Actually, he's doing great. I'm saying he is causing his own anxious pondering. If he was super curious and it was killing him that she forgot to tell him, he could've just asked "Hey, what were you saying before we were interrupted last time?" It's just that the conversation topic got lost. If he was really curious, he could've asked. And as for their relationship, she was forced into a marriage here to begin with. Although she later thought about it as a way to get answers about her mom, it was forced from the beginning. Relationships and trust are not built overnight. But now the relationship is being built. Now they are finally reaching trust in each other. Shiyi was willing to tell him what she was doing but the opportunity slipped and she probably forgot. In fact, she hid her volunteering mainly because of her mother in law, not her husband.

That is the one and only reason she made sure Lingyi was the man she was marrying. But the reason doesn't matter now that they both have feelings for each other. He's making it pretty clear he wants this relationship to work and Shiyi has to be blind not to notice it. She has plenty opportunities to tell him, like i said in my first comment, but hasn't taken them. Even if she was mainly keeping it from her mother in law that still shouldn't have kept her from telling her husband. I'm not blaming Shiyi, yet. I'm just pointing out a potential problem.

She was still mourning over her mom, she had all these eyes on her, she was grounded at home and the safe deal she had to leave was gone, so coordination was a thing to take into account. But idk, I guess that depends on the screenwriter. On the relationship, Shiyi is just starting to notice that Lingyi's move are more than just attraction or plain display of respect for her as his wife. She is starting to notice the loving undertones of it. So I think she'll open up soon anyways. She said it herself while in the car. She was willing to give out her heart if he would give his to her. But regardless of anything, my first comment was just on how Lingyi is anxious over something that could be easily fixed. If he's taken the iniciative in other things, he could've asked about the matter. He's pretty direct when he wants to. He's being timid 'cause he likes her. Which is funny and exasperating at the same time, because such an insightful man is becoming dense because of love. A script can be developed towards several directions.

Due to Lingyi and Shiyi past experiences they have trust issues that will be resolved as they gain each other’s trust through protecting each other. Shiyi had to be smart and strategic living in the environment she was raised in so that’s why she is independent and strong willed. It’s good but also can be a hinderance at times. Lingyi was cold to protect his family and a filial son to his mother but there is a limit. His love for Shiyi makes him more courageous towards his mother and protective of Shiyi ❤❤even when their are unnecessary misunderstandings
