Lan Zhan did wait for 16 years for Wwx but Wwx's own side of story is pretty sad too..Having lost his parents at such a young age and then losing his uncle and lady Yu from Lotus Pier..Having to be blamed for Jinxuan's death to seeing his shijie sacrifice herself for him...there's so much pain he hides beneath his smile and playful character...Wen qing and the remaining Wen sect also left a deep scar in him and not to mention all the hate he had to receive from his own people...He's such a selfless person,I just can't explain how much I love this guy....He deserves all the love he's gonna get from his better half 😁😘😘

When Jiang Cheng lost his golden core by Core-Melting Hand, and was broken & suicidal, the only way Wei Ying could heal him was by giving away his own golden core to Jiang Cheng!! So now Wei Ying was without a golden core himself. A cultivator without a golden core doesn't have his "energy" powers, sword-fighting and cultivation go together, so someone without a golden core could barely use his sword anymore. That's why we see WY later not carrying his sword anywhere he goes, cause it's useless to him now! Wei Ying without a golden core, couldn't cultivate through the usual, immortal cultivation anymore, that uses a blade to focus. So all that was left for WY is to choose another path, through resentful energy, incantations and spells and such, so he became "The Founder of Demonic Cultivation". In this path of cultivation, he mainly used the flute he crafted. So, eventually, to keep his promise to Madam Yu to protect her son, he "exchanged" his sword for a flute...

【下面有中文哦】 bruh when realisation hits... i was just thinking about this comment that said compared to 'do not forget', the lyrics in this are actually sadder. then i realised that the melody is motivating and happy, but this describes wei ying so perfectly because he is always bearing so much pain and sadness on his shoulders, but on the surface he appears happy and energetic all the time. lan zhan is already "wearing white like he's going to a funeral" anyways, so just by listening to the melody and Yibo's emotion in his voice, you can tell it's telling a tragic story. but with this song, it's like when wei ying hides everything with his smile. 哇我刚发现一件好厉害的事... 这首歌完美表达了魏婴的人设，因为旋律上听起来一点都不忧伤，但读着歌词会发现其实写得非常悲伤。就像魏婴，压力多大，情绪多受伤表面都不会体现出来。比起“不忘”这首歌旋律上有活力多了，没有一丝悲伤。蓝湛本来就“披麻戴孝”，所以光听旋律和唱腔就知道在讲的是悲剧。而魏婴每次都把自己的情绪藏得深深的，就算受伤也一定会咬着牙想办法笑出来，总是一个人承担一切。

Sure Xiao Zhan is not the perfect flawless actor and singer but he is what he is. He is special. Not only as a fan but also as another human being, my respect and admiration for him goes beyond words. I don't know how he goes through all of this. The pain I felt for him may never equal the pain he felt for himself, his misfortune and everyone affected by the controversy but my heart will always hurt for him. As gentle his appearance and mannerisms are, he is made up of some type of steel in the inside. Fighting Zhanzhan, you have and will go through your life, strongly!

As a Chinese I turned on the English subtitle since I am curious how the antique flavour lyrics would be translated lol. And I feel that although the English lyrics are good enough to express the meaning, it‘s still a bit straightforward. Like this one at 1:15, "And had a sword battle with the most beautiful person of Gusu once." In fact it doesn't sound like this in Chinese lyrics. The literal translation can be "And had a sword battle with the ten miles of spring scene of Gusu once" (my English is also not good enough...) Just want to say that the lyrics in fact is more beautiful, its style is kind of like the poem of ancient Chinese.

Every time somebody translates the lyrics, the meaning changes. Foot noted are usually needed for stuff like this. Localization does tend to strip away a lot of the emotion from the words.

A beautiful friendship burned cuz of stupidity of humans. This song is pure nostalgia. XZ, the sweetest, kind and humble man that he is didn’t deserve to be bullied. No one does. I miss this drama, at least when it first aired. Now? With what happened to him and WY, it just break my heart that they won’t ever be on screen together again. It’s a beautiful story, but lost its charm for me cuz it reminds me of XZ suffering. His humility is inspiring, he never expressed anger to those concern. I hate haters for everything he’s been through.

I am just re-listening the mv and i want to express my opinion on TU. First of all, I am a die-hard fan of MDZS novel. When i heard MDZS is going to make into LA, I was happy but at the same time worried because i don't want to damage the novel. I heard bad rumors about how xiao zhan is not suitable for WWX but later come out Xiao Zhan photo wearing WY costume and I felt he is not so bad and can really act like WY. There is also rumor about how the production team want to change the story line about WY-LZ relationship to WY-WQ-JC relationship, I thought they are going to damage others' storyline. So, to be honest, I didn't really expect TU to be this great. When the first episode come out, as expected it didn't exceed my expectation. I didn't like the way they shoot about Mo family matters and also how cultivators fetched tiger seal at Bu Ye Tian. It is a little awkward and unrealistic. But what I most impressed is in the first scene "a man wearing all black standing at the peak with his eyes full of tears. From his eyes, I can see despair, lonely, hate and losing hope to live" All I can say is WOW. He is so so good. And then later in Mo house scene, where he act like a fool to Mo family members and Lan Jia junior . I can just say "WOW! THIS IS WEI YING, my baby!!!! My baby Wei Ying has finally come to life !!!" which makes me continue to watch TU till the end. Wei Ying character is very difficult to play since his life has changed dramatically from low to high and high to low with so many emotions and Xiao Zhan expressed each of these emotions and changes vividly in each scene. He is the Wei Ying that I imagine when I read the novel. As i watched further and further, I like TU more and more. Although they changed some scenes, but it didn't affect the main storyline and all the characters are fully developed and well-expressed. So, I want to express my thanks to TU production team that they choose XIAO ZHAN as WEI WU XIAN and made MDZS novel come to life with excellent actors. And the MV is so well-made. I am crying again.

Xiao Zhan caracterizó muy bien su personaje y en esta canción lo hizo con mucho sentimiento también. Wei Yin siempre soportando las críticas y burlas de lo demás, pero el sabía lo que verdad había en su corazón. El único que siempre estubo de su parte y se preocupo (aunque en aquel entonces no lo vio asi) era Lan Zhan y fue quien se convirtió en su gran y único amor, ahora que regresó a la vida no va a desperdiciar esa oportunidad de estar junto a él y ser felices los dos,esa felicidad que en su vida pasada nunca pudo tener😭💖
