I don't usually like dubs, but I have a soft spot for Tenchi Muyo (and a few select others) because the very first animated thing I watched of the franchise was the "In love" OVA, and that was so damn wholesome while at the same time more impressive than most things I've seen up until then (western animation, and I didn't like disney, so the most flashy, actually western stuff, was he man from filmation, not exactly animated at all).

they worked really hard on the dubs back then, and they nailed every character when you listen to like, Yamerarenai, you can instantly recognize each character even if you only watched the dub. they all sound exactly like themselves.

Ryoko's VA in particular was fantastic I thought. She really shone during Ryoko's more emotional scenes.
