That chop block at 8:27. Crazy. Props to you Dan for being able to keep so many of the bullets back on the table.
@nineth9445 ай бұрын
That's really not a chop block but a drop shot because Dan was far away from the table, and there was barely any top spin/attack to block in the first place. Such a drop shot is also far easier to do than many of Kreanga's backhand top spins.
@kishenpankhania3635 жыл бұрын
its interesting to see the evolution of the backhand from the best of the old ball era to now, Kreanga you can see spins 90 percent of the time with loopy backhands where players like harimoto and fan zhendong prefer to use shorter shots or go forwards more with just enough spin to make it dip at the end.
@cxxxrbon5 жыл бұрын
I think it's because heavy topspin is a lot slower and when your opponent learns to counter it most of the time, it's not as effective because of the low speed. That's why Asians focus more on speed than spin.

He's from the Speed glue, celluloid ball era too, watching the old videos and it's an insane amount of spin.

Wondering how the Tenergy 05 FX compares to the Dignics 05... any experiences?
@Skrippykrotangler5 жыл бұрын
yes, i want to know this too. Trying to decide between Dignics 05 and T05fx for my backhand on my next setup. I'm using regular T05 on my backhand right now on and off ++ carbon blade. While it's helping my technique because i have to try and get on top of every ball off the bounce, it's a little too fast. I need something that dips a little bit more when top spinning. My flick is still improving leaps and bounds using the regular T05 though. I prefer Hurricane 3 Neo on forehand over T05. T05 is too bouncy for when i have to push on forehand, pops too many balls up. Hurricane 3 Neo is better for keeping the ball low when pushing. I'll check what degree hardness you can get Dignics and if its not too hard, i've heard good things about Dignics. But now I want Kreanga's backhand so i wonder if T05fx is a better choice..lol
@IHadToChooseThis15 жыл бұрын
@@Skrippykrotangler haha auch a long comment. I've tried both now and I'm a 100% certain dignics is a better choice than tenergy 05fx. Well, for me certainly it is. What I like about it is the feeling of literally holding the ball for a slightly longer period. Kinda like hurricane 3 neo what I tried on forehand before but was just too slow for me. I myself play the innerforce layer zlc with T05 forehand and dignics 05 backhand. You could say the dignics behaves somewhat similar to Chinese rubber. That is mainly the contact time I'm talking about tho. The arc is slightly higher than with tenergy 05 and also slower so you have more control. Comparing t05fx against dignics now.... 05fx - slowest out of the bunch, good control, gotta put in your own power (more than 05 dignics, tenergy) for strong and spinny strokes, low arc ... And I personally switched back to dignics after 2-3 sessions Dignics 05 - great control, dwell time, ridiculous price but it seems to have better longevity than the others, higher arc than 05 and 05fx which gives you safety, makes difficult shots look easy to execute. I myself have a really bad backhand compared to my forehand but this rubber saved me haha. It almost plays for itself and the amounts of spin you can create are insane. So yeah.... Dignics backhand all the way. Also it's a little slower than T05 if I haven't said that already. Been going on for so long 😌 So I'd strongly recommend you to get the dignics over the tenergy 05 FX. This video was great for promotion and all (and I'm sure lots of ppl got baited into buying just like myself) but there is a reason why pretty much noone but kreanga plays the FX and all the pros opt for the dignics 05. Hope this helps 😉
@Skrippykrotangler5 жыл бұрын
@@IHadToChooseThis1 Yeah, thanks man. I got comin Butterfly SK Carbon with T05 fx on backhand and H3neo on forehand, and also Donic Jo Shape Limited which i'm gonna paste Dignics on the backhand of that with H3neo on forehand. Hopefully i'll find my new #1 blade out of these two or at least i'll be closer to finding out what my ultimate combo is. I wish i could bring myself to shell out $500 Canadian for Zhang Jike Super ZLC but i just cant. Tenergy rubber is already exhorbitant..lol. Right now my #1 consists of a Sanwei Carbon blade off ++ with T05 on backhand and H3neo on forehand and i really do love how T05 is a cannon but it really is too fast for me, especially when i encounter the heavy, rock hard butterfly G40+ balls. Not bad with Xauoshaufo lighter balls that we use at my club. When i got to different club for tournament their butterfly balls and even synthetic table surface make my game feel totally alien, useless with my current fast combo. Cheers

According to Butterfly's own ratings, Rozena has more spin, speed, and higher arc than 05FX, and it's half-price. I guess that's why no one uses FX anymore.

@TableTennisDaily I'll feel grateful if you actually reply :D But I got a question that I want to acquire about soft rubbers. I am using a very soft rubber on my BH (Donic Acuda S3), and I feel like it is constantly contradicting the principles of hard and soft rubbers. Considering a hard rubber, it needs on-point acceleration to be able to bring the ball on to the table, while softer rubbers are more forgiving, minimal rotation is enough. Sometimes when the ball comes fast and I want to deliver a counter-loop with my BH, the ball often drops into the net, but shouldn't the longer dwell time increases my consistency in these kinds of shots? It shouldn't be an acceleration problem, instead, I don't feel the same problem if I used a harder rubber on my BH. And I thought softer rubbers are supposed to be faster than harder rubber, when being hit with minimal power, compared to harder rubbers, why do I feel like it's slower instead? Thank you in advance!
