How lovely to see your happiness at being back home in Europe! From all the places you've been, it is different isn't it? Even the French or other dependencies in the South pacific and Indian Ocean didn't quite have it. What a trip you are having - I think back to the early days in South America - how far you've come and it's been fabulous to accompany you. I have friends that live in Europe and have for about ten years. I’m in the US and they say the same things about loving the European lifestyle. I had considered joining them but then Covid happened. Kinda derailed everything. But I’m envious of their freedom they have and the ease of life, so much less stress.
