Different Vlog very informative. Lots of beautiful mountain villages and Towns off the beaten track can be reached easily by a rent a car.. we have a car for first week and last week of our stays, saving taxi fares and our favourite company allow people to rent them up to the age of 99 years old!!! I was just in Tenerife and rented a car, and was ripped off "royally." But I found the "Guagua" island bus TITSA was amazing in getting around the island, and I didn't have to worry about drinking and driving... Cheers!

@@TheMacMaster They operate under different names Goldcar/Rhodium/Interrent/Europcar are all to be avoided like the plague. Autoreisin is the company I always use and far cheaper than the company in this video (sorry) Cicar and Pluscar are also good.

Nice bit of information there,we have been to Las Americas about 15 times and we are getting itchy feet to see more of the island and have considered hiring a car. I still have the old paper UK licence and wondering if that will do over there.

Hi Martin! Yes the old paper license is still valid 100%, we have people use them all the time! You just need that and your passport to rent the car and then carry your paper license with you when driving 👍🏽

We always rent a car, love driving through the National Park, upto Teide and Las Canadas etc... Only dodgy thing we find is the quality of the driving is shocking compared to the UK.

The trick is to always stay in the outside lane when on a roundabout, no matter what exit your taking, thats what the locals do so its best to follow suite.

rent a car, it pays for its self, no need for transfers/taxi to and from the airport. All the excursions, go to Masca, drive upto Teide and pick when you want to go. its a no brainer.

The rental was €35 for the day and then fuel is very cheap here, around €1 a litre so the drive to Puerto De La Cruz and back was around €7 in fuel..fuel is cheap and the cars we have don’t burn much fuel and are very economical 👍🏽🚙 so in total around €42 ish with the fuel, not bad atall when you consider that a bus to Loro Parque is €14 per person and takes a very long time to get there and is time restricted!

Just back from Tenerife. Auto Reisen Seat Ibiza, only 6,000kms up. Like new. Booked last March for an amazing £69 a week. That is the cheapest price we ever paid over twenty years. That included three euros a day to cover glass, exhaust, tyres. A/Reisen don't worry about the odd dent, scratch. Just return with the same amount as fuel as on departure.
