@@channingkent8078 Some airlines, particularly an budget Irish one, still fly to take passengers from the UK who have the correct reason allowed by Spain (not tourism) to enter. What has been happening is the passengers who don't have the correct reason have been turned back either at the departure airport or on arrival in Spain, including Canaries. This means that even though you haven't had your flight cancelled, if the Spanish ban is still in effect on 18th. May (currently Spain says valid to 1st June) you won't get in.

If the tests dropped to £45 it would help. However, Ryanair have a deal on atm for 50% off tests and they are charging 120 Euro each. So I'm assuming tests atm are costing 240 Euro each and there is no way I could afford to pay that on top of ever increasing flight and hotel costs

A good news day!!! 👏👏👏 As you know, here in Ireland we have been very slow with vaccines. I can register for my vaccine next week. I wonder will the EU let us travel with just 1 Astra Zenneca? We have flights for August that we transferred over from last year but I doubt I’ll have had my 2nd jab by then.

Because the system to show that you have had the vaccine is not good enough (NHS app), until a valid way is agreed by all countries then tests will be needed 👍🏽😊

Fair enough, it wont be for everyone but its not as bad as you think! Excursions are running, sun is shining, beaches are basically the same and you dont need a mask sunbathing like people say, and all the great vars and restaurants are open 😁👍🏽

@@TheKnightStrider I am sure things will get better I have been visiting Tenerife for over thirty years it feels like a second home so want the island to recover ASAP But a holiday is staying out to 2 or 3 in the morning being able to walk around in the heat without a face mask ETC But the real problem will be the queuing at the airport for showing test results etc it be like when the airports introduced the new strict security process it took hours to get through the airports will not be able to process people fast enough causing massive delays Already seen this on April 12th when people started to travel

I think if two countries are low risk i.e. UK & Tenerife low infections high vaccine intake then why not open up fully. They have already said fully vaccinated ppl are very low risk transfering it on. Lets get the holiday season going safley but going.
