I've seen it twice now (due to cheap movie tickets from a friend!) and let me tell you, it was really good the first time, seeing it a second time was phenomenal. Knowing how it all works and knowing what's to come had me on the edge of my seat for the 2nd time watching it and I'm sure i'll be watching it a third time when it releases for purchase. Nolan, you did it again!

@madeyestudios83573 жыл бұрын
@@kevtb874 Right...Well there's always something worse going around the world. By that logic you shouldn't complain about anything not even covid if you had it since ebola is a way worse way to go. We shouldn't complain about a theater experience or any experience in public for that matter cause hey, we could've had it worse like those civilians who get killed in similar places by terrorists. Covid has caused a huge change in our nations which is why it's more than fair to complain when atleast one year of your lifetime will be far more limited and in someways wasted. Especially considering the amount of basic opportunities to learn, get further in life or just have fun and enjoy life through art and culture such as a cinematic experience, are far more rare. That doesn't mean that the sick ones don't have it worse heathwise but the idea that you can't complain about something because you could have it worse is a ridiculous statement when covid has shaped this whole year differently for pretty much everyone. Also for the record it was a great theater experience on the 26th of last month and is doing well globally so there's that. Now take care mate!

I’ve been thinking about how to approach this review on Tenet without giving the impression of bashing the movie or hating on it. Cause I did like this movie but I certainly have a lot to say. Let’s start with this, I was like everyone else with Tenet. I was super excited, who wouldn’t be! Christopher Nolan directing, big budget summer blockbuster, with a complex plot, awesome trailer and a great cast! I’ve been waiting for this movie for a long time and as soon as I found a showtime for my city I decided I had to go. So I saw Tenet and I have to say, this is a Christopher Nolan movie. It has his style of direction all over it. The complex and dense plot, big action spectacles and a long runtime. Will people like it, most likely unfortunate for me not so much. What really bothered me about this movie was the plot and how Nolan told this story. It didn’t feel cohesive or even understandable really but rather very confusing, rushed and the outcome of it all made me question what was the purpose of all that just happened. Even some of the plot points of this movie that kinda make sense doesn’t actually do. Like I didn’t really know much about the villain or his goals and there wasn’t enough character development to him other than a cliche evil plan, him being just a jerk but the actor who portrays him did a good job. The acting of this character gave an impression of unintentionally being funny and entertaining. But a lot of this movie felt like it was trying to be an extravaganza of action scenes, set pieces and dazzling spectacles. Luckily It does accomplish that though, a lot of the times. The action is really well done and does a lot of the spectacles. I just wish that the movie presented a more compelling story, because it felt as though it was kinda trying too. The story, plotting and even sometimes the screenplay felt so jumbled throughout the entire runtime. It tries to be so intellectual and complex but at the end it didn’t succeed at it. Overall Tenet wasn’t as great as I hoped for but, big and sometimes fun action scenes, good acting, sound design, and the look of the movie are all positives for Tenet. Maybe I just wasn’t smart enough to appreciate all this movie had to offer and that’s unfortunate, but I did have some fun with Tenet and think most people will enjoy it.

To me, like any other Nolan movie, it REQUIRES multiple viewings. The first time I watched it, I 100% agree with you. The second time I watched it, everything clicked. I'm going to see it again tomorrow and I'm definitely gonna enjoy it!

he explains the actions of the villain and why he wants to destroy the world. he says in the future, the rivers run dry and they run out of food and resources so some people in the future want to destroy the world from their past thinking it will solve their resource problem.

nolan is smart, he is making the movie unhearable so many people will buy it on blu ray while at the sametime making it more of a cinematic experience in theaters(its a win win in my book). If you just "feel" the movie, its actually amazing, almost like nolan's version of mad max which is the whole point imo, and if you are a completionist, than u can try to crack down each character's timeline once u get it on blu-ray or pirate the movie (lol i dont recommend but u do u ^_^). Either way, the MAIN storyline is very easy to follow, and very interesting as u see things unfold. In conclusion, i give this movie a rating of 4.5/5

Or has dialogue over phones and radios going, or the same British accents heard muffled through masks... all the while that bloody score keeps blaring on. Quirky cinematic tricks, sensory overload, a sci-fi concept that doesn't make sense... Congrats on the spectacle, but this isn't why I go to the movies.

Watched it. Regretted it. The reason they show you only exaggerated action its because the story is terribly bad. Remember watching Inception and dreaming about the story and what the ending meant and not about the action? Same with The Prestige. This movie is hollow. You will feel like the ending of GOT. Great cenematics and an empty story. You can try to like this just cause you are a nolan fan and want to finally see a movie cause of the lockdown but this is my experience.
