His voice is a diphonic voice (both vocal cords at the same time) as the Mongols sang, Mr Tengri voice is powerful and beauty. The musical instruments are ancestral and beautiful. Tengri is a very renowned singer from Inner Mongolia in China. He was singing about the loss and destruction of the nature where he grew up, and it was inspired by the loss of his young daughter, and he expresses his anger at the destruction of the environment and sadness from his personal loss. You should react to Hua Chenyu's version of Heaven that he reworked in a Chinese show where he had 24 hrs to rework a song picked out for him ...!!! And Dimash and Tengri are an amazing duo!! Tengri started out in Mandarin, Dimash in Kazakh, then Tengri in mongolian and Dimash in Mandarin..., One of my favorites!! Those are Horse Heads on the screen from the traditional Mongolian Instruments - the horse heads on the instruments that they are playing...

Tengri another amazing artist I discovered through Dimash - he is considered a National treasure, he finally accepted the invitation to The Singer to show a yourger generation the traditional Mongolian singing style (with traditional instruments and "throat singing"). With Dimash together - so different and so amazingly complementing each other - two masters at work with respectful grace.

Swan goose performance was at the TV Spring Festival Gala in China on February 5, 2019. Tengger or Tengri (translated: sky) born 1960 is a well-known Chinese singer, songwriter and composer of Mongol ethnicity. Dimash met Tengri in April 2018 during his guest appearance in the 'Singer 2018' competition. It is nice to see the respect with which Dimash treats Tengri and with what joy and warmth he looks at him. In China, they not only represent themselves, but also the culture of their people. They sing in three languages (Kazakh, Chinese and Mongolian) and the accompanying band 'The HU' (now a famous Mongolian metal band - you should listen) plays with traditional instruments a Mongolian folk song with over-throat singing. 🔝🎤❤️👏👏👏🌹🌹

When Tengri sings 'Heaven' I can't help but cry. Every time. He is so emotional and I feel every bit of it. Not long after 9/11 Tengri held a concert in New York and dedicated this composition to the victims of 9/11. The duet with Dimash s one of my favourites. They sound great together and Dimash sn't holding back as he usually does in duets but at the same time is not overpowering Tengri.

Like being with a friend sharing beauty and artistry. Dimash has worked hard to learn Mandarin Chinese and to pronounce it correctly. Tengri is a highly respected singer. The others in the contest are very good professionals but Tengri is a master. Dimash is a master as well and holds his own on the same stage. Looks like he really enjoys singing this song with Tengri and accords him respect. Chinese music beautifully refers to nature in the lyrics quite often which I find refreshing.

Singer 2018 is a goldmine of good performances by artists you haven't reacted to yet. If you were to go back and look at the shots of the performers backstage in the Dimash "Hello" video, you'd recognize Tengri there. Hua Chenyu and the singer from The Lion Band were also in those shots. In the backstage shots for "Heaven" they showed Hua Chenyu watching Tengri a lot because he had done his own version of this song in another competition. At the beginning they showed Jessie J, who won the competition, reacting to the Mongolian singers with their Mongolian throat singing, and the higher polyphonic overtone singing. For a great demonstration of that on Y.Tube see "Polyphonic Overtone Singing Anna-Maria Hefele". Anyway on Singer 2018 I'd recommend the performances of Hua Chenyu (using the "Hua Chenyu Eng. subs" channel) starting with "Nunchucks". Also very good on Singer 2018 are the performances of KZ Tandingan, starting with her cover of "Rolling In The Deep", which won her that episode. Many reactors get recommended Dimash first, and then get directed to Hua Chenyu, KZ Tandingan, Tengri, and then singers from the Philippines such as Morissette Amon. Also from the Philippines you might want to check out Marcelito Pomoy's version of "The Prayer" on the Wish Bus 107.5 before he appears on the AGT Champions show (maybe next wk.) Anyway since you were on Singer 2018, I thought I'd mention some of the other artists on there.

That contest lasted four months. They put a lot of effort into this. These were already professional singers on their own. Dimash was the youngest one. He came in second place but got a best foreigner award. This performance was beautiful. 😀

I felt the same way when I first heard him before you LOL wow for an old guy this song is Beautiful. It takes you back from your youth and at the same time you feel up to date he brought back a little classic. It's a beautiful song.

Voilà comment chante Dimash, quand il est heureux et à l’aise sur les planches... il n’y a qu’à regarder son visage ravi. C’est un très beau duo, et je soupçonne Dimash de ne pas trop « pousser » par respect pour Tengri, qui est largement son aîné... Et ce n’est pas grave si on ne comprend pas les paroles, Dimash pourrait chanter le bottin téléphonique que ce serait toujours un plaisir de l’écouter.

The intro, Mongolian throat singing, is also known as overtone singing, where one singer can sing two notes at a time -- a bass drone and a much higher melody. A good western example is Avi Kaplan (bass singer from Pentatonix) doing The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Thanks for doing the 2 pieces at the same time. Tengri is fantastic as is the band. Dimash is a master of blending and complimenting in a duet without overpowering the other person. We in the west have been blessed by being able to hear these marvellous performances from the Singer, China. I wish you continued success in 2020....your Mum did a good job. 😊
