You can "ruin" it a littlebit by farming nonsense though (like using your trailblaze power on credits or farming upgrade materials which you don't really need). The game gets harder over time at higher equilibrium and if you've managed to not level your characters it gets noticably harder to proceed in the story and if you keep on wasting your trailblaze power you could easily hit a wall which can demotivate some people. I had already seen a few people doing that in Genshin, where the opponents suddenly were too strong to beat and that was back in a time, where you wasn't able to manually reduce the world level. Currently it seems not that important, but it might get worse over time up to a point, where even support characters might not be able to win on their own anymore. Obviously in the end it doesn't really matter that much, given that it's a singleplayer game, but Mobile- and Gacha games are deliberately made to be confusing and filled with beginner traps, so it's definitely worth putting 10 minutes of your time into getting an idea of how the systems work in the first place, so that you don't need to waste 2 hours later to research, how you can overcome the big wall where you can't keep up anymore for a while

I once stun-locked a final boss in Simulated Universe World 2 with Welt and it was pretty hilarious. 1. Welt slows down enemies and chips at the toughness bar 2. Herta and March chips at the toughness bar 3. Repeat Step 1 & 2 4. Herta/March breaks shield and freezes boss 5. Boss recovers from freeze and wastes a turn 6. The cycle repeats I unlocked the "Opponent has poor connection" achievement because of this.

i got bailu from the beginner banner, which i didn't want because i thought she was useless for me ( i had natasha) and then I decided to spend my rest of the passes i had to the standard and i got bronya AND bailu's weapon from it in just 20 pulls, and now they both work so good together and bailu heals my characters so well, I'm not sad anymore haha

Clara being good and bad is due to her relying on counters to do damage. She's phys destruction like the starter trailblazer, so we can compare these two. The MC outdamages Clara with the straight up damage (counters not included), but Clara can do pretty good damage if she's the one constantly getting attacked. I think she truly shines against a large number of opponents in a situation where they all attack her. IMO, she's got a good synergy with March 7th shielding her for protection and additional aggro.

For those who buy the express supply pass it might also be worth to save the Oneiric Shards. Feels tempting to have 2 additional pulls per month, but Genshin eventually introduced skins, which needed this stuff and i wouldn't be surprised, if it will be the case here as well.

I was so hesitant to play this because I really don’t like turn based combat…. but DAMN. I stand corrected, because HSR is so fun. Coming from Genshin I’m super stoked to have such a variety of characters that are amazing right out of the gate without the pressure to feel like I NEED to get x character or get more of them to unlock paths ect. I spent some $ because I wanted to and I have a great main team, but I am also working on additional teams to use (which I rarely did in Genshin). I have learned from previous mistakes and have worked more towards lvl up mats vs relics and I’ve been better off for it. I find leveling a bit easier but that could be from having prior experience with this type of system 🤣 I’m excited for future characters and content!

March is definitely the most important support for Yanqing as for now, as she can make sure, that Yanqing doesn't loose his buffs due to damage. Also if your March is too slow, then Asta might be a great addition on top of that to make sure, that March overtakes enemies early on when necessary.

its okay to summon of the begginers banner that let us pay 8 regular wraps for a ten pull... since we get enough regular wraps from leveling up... and getting 1 gurentee 5* in 40 wrap tickets is super super worth it. and than after save crystal for the limited banners and collect the regular wraps to be able to spark in standart the character u dont have from regular lineup

Cool bug facts: If you are trying to max seeles light cone bonus, do not use spd stat boots. Her talent gives her 25% speed boost, + if you use asta as support thats another 50-60% atk + 45~50 spd. Which maxes the LC stack + a little more. Do atk% or break% for the boots to maximize damage

My main account, early game I got Himeko then later Bronya. Made a 2nd account, Trailblazer level 17, had insane luck and got Bronya, Gepard, E3 Serval, E1 March 7th, E2 Dan Heng, E1 Natasha (1st wish after getting her lol), and Tingyun. I also got a lot of 4 star light cones, one of which is perfect for Gepard (gives higher chance to hit him, so he builds energy faster to shield the party). The strategy I used this time is instead of spending TL fuel/energy to get exp materials, I used it to make wishes, then exchanged the resulting embers for those character/light cone materials.

I like Speed for Gepard and Natasha. They are on the team to generate skill points and survivability. Meanwhile, the DPS and Buffer/Debuffer uses those skill points every round.

I dont think it really matters if you burn through all your resin early on or not, it helps leveling alot. Getting you to the lategame much faster. Might not be optimal but for sure not a huge mistake if you wanted to level up faster.

I recently got Bailu, but I have Natasha at Eidolon +4. Is Bailu worth using over Natasha even without any Eidolons in a general use team? not farming relic to upgrade will slow down your team progression tho because how much stat relic give, sure you dont go hard on the perfect stat like in genshin, just use the 4* reward relic and put it on ur team while juggling it while necessary and leveling them to max until you can actually farm 5* relic properly later is actually better cus i doubt u can clear Eq6 CoC with +0 relic when your enemy can actually hit you back

Hello, I'm pretty new with turn based game and I'm wondering, do we get any benefit from "Speed" other than the attacks become faster? Since it's a turn based game, I thought that the characters' speed doesn't matter much like it's not we get extra turn etc.

Like every turn based game, speed makes how much faster "progression" do you have for your next move to come. If you look into in-game during battle, you will see at the top left a chart. Who after who and an indicator for how much turn meter bar after. Bonus turns are tricky since they completely go out of the loop. Ultimates are kinda same deal like I've seen, but you have interval where you need to time for your side or the enemy will start his turn. If you have higher speed than your enemy, you will always start before them and have more action bar/turn meter. 150 speed would be twice faster than 75 speed. This means you will make near (after few turns, a full) 2 actions, while the enemy will do once. Naturally you want your dps to be last of the row, since you go (CC) ;(Strip/removing enemy buffs); (Buff/Buffing own team, mainly the dps carry); (Attack with main source). Alternative will having a faster team turn booster or so.

In any gacha game where speed is a stat, speed is the ONLY stat. Everything else is just a bonus. It doesn't matter how much damage you deal if you never actually get a turn.

My only real disagree is not using your trailblaze power to farm relics early. People said the same thing about Resin in Genshin, "Don't farm for artifacts until you're guaranteed 5 stars" And theoretically, sure, that's probably the most optimal way of doing things. But I have played a LOT of Genshin Impact, and character building is by far my favorite part of the game. Just the theorycrafting and putting together builds, whether they're the optimal builds, or something goofy for fun. Waiting that long to fully get invested in character building just isn't going to happen lol. And TBP is a reneweable resource, so it's not like you're wasting a resource you're going to really need later. I fully get why it's optimal to farm other things early and relics later when you get 5stars, but it's much more fun, at least for me, to just start building. I'm actually not at that point in Star Rail yet, but am very impatiently marching towards Level 24. Side note, I agree with saving your fuel until you can really hardcore grind for relics, as fuel is a crazy important resource to just throw away at some bad rng for 3/4 star relics.

I don’t worry about power creep. As we’ve seen in Genshin, new artifacts and different team combos keep old characters relevant, discounting the player factor. Here, since railstar is a turn based PVE game they could go a similar route and the old characters will be fine as long as you have different light cone combinations as well or they could literally buff them like how FGO does things to make characters fill niches. But either way I’m going to use my favorite characters and get them the best they can be ❤

The farmable (non one time only) currency allows for just 2 pities a year, you have only 50% chance to get the character on those... I advice people to reroll and get something decent, reaching the 300 pulls selector will likely take a year or more.

as a Final Fanstasy player since FF5 - FF12 and other old turn-base game im loving this game and since im still new at this game i could say im doing pretty good so far so when i wanna lvl my main team to a decent lvl i did that calyx with exp drops for characters, i did use a lil bit of fuel for it but its rewarding since u can easily cheese some parts of the game with my high lvled team

I may have wasted 5 or 6 jades worth of pulls on beginners cuz i was slightly impatient but ey i got welt before i even stepped foot on jarilo 6 it was well worth it

Idc what anyone says. Using jades and or primos for some standard pulls doesn't ruin accounts. As long as it's not all the jade in the game on standard, but if it's like one 10 pull, it's not the end of the world.

i regret having Welt and Gepard as my beginner and standard banner 5* characters then i got Bronya on the fcking Seele banner.. now im using Welt as main. He's really good :O

You may as well use some to level up, if its the same as genshin to level up, it would barely make a dent to use the refuel for stamina

about the fuel: doesnt make sense, if u use the fuel now u get +2 levels. u habe to wait less time now, then farmen with the same amount u refilled daily. or u wait now and once u reach 65 u spend the fuels -- the time is the same as there are not enough quests to get to 65 anyways. BUT dailies give more exp on higher lvl so getting these 2 levels earlier makes u progress faster long term. So saving them is actually a really bad advise

Even for DPS, speed still king on boots main stat. In a turn-based game, the faster you move the stronger you are.

Genshin ‘oldbie’ coming to HSR can still be considered ‘oldbies’ for the similarities of the games’ mechanisms, except that I still waste some of the fuel to increase levels like newbie 😢

march and dan heng are really good, the only characters i would not build atm are arlan and qingque unless you absolutely need to because they just have something wrong with them compared to other characters

Saving fuel is a 50/50 benefit and often gives more value when using it on talents/ascensions. The last thing you need is xp books to start out with as you get more than enough to get two parties to high enough level to clear end game content. Your traces give far more value in this game compared to Genshin as CV offers much lower value in this game compared to the inflated base numbers.

You can spend the fuel however you want, spending it late on relics will just drown you in depression when you get all the shit pieces

personally even in genshin i only used my special resin to refill for character mats or exp i know everyone says to use it for artifacts (relics) but why would i waste a valuable resource on something thats a chance to be good instead of 100% drop thats just stupid i do agree tho wait to use it for when the rewards are better.

Speed is great for dps as it allows you to attack 2 times per round in some cases. Considering how the shield breaking mechanics work in this game, make sure u pump speed on your hunt path characters. Speed is only bad on units that rely on countering like Clara and March 7.

Yeah, I messed up already, I use all of my fuel at EQ 3 to farm exp and relics. Now I'm in EQ 4 and yup it's so hard to build my main team😢
