This song can definitely become a soft Country ballad. I love the fiddle, the mandolin and a pedal steel guitar, or even a dobro. But it definitely needs a second verse.

I take it that you mean the Fiddler and the banjo? It’s been that way since Earl was a kid. Banjo and Violin are about the same amplitude to blend real well with the difference in timbre and attack legato of the Arco and pizzicato Ala Tirando picking of the banjo the complemtary contrast seems made in heaven. I play both ,neither well lol

Why haven’t I heard of you guys. Your great. The harmonies were Spot on and beautifully embellished. The Players were all great; especially the fiddle player slurring double stopped intervals. The lone tenor was fantastic, the height tenor was fantastic and the baritone. Just wonderful and a wonderful choice of song as well; and you looked smart too. You must be doing and it’s just I’m a long way south of you so don’t hear about you. 14,000 miles South. I loved that annd you it loved it too and am not a completely hopeless unknowledgable hack myself. By the way you arranged yourselves it’s obvious you can breakdown with each other behind a single Spring set cardioid Mike. If your bass player slaps too; to say Grandpas clock you guys are laughin. It’s even not “super” important making a fortune when you have a good ensemble like that.
