Tennessee Titans Stock Report: Josh Whyle Ascending, T'Vondre Sweat Falling & Hold Will Levis Stock

The Tennessee Titans have almost completed all of their offseason practices and that makes it a perfect time to check in on which direction certain players are going. That includes tight end Josh Whyle who is one of the hottest names of the offseason activities so far. On the other side, a player like T'Vondre Sweat is has yet to make any waves due to not being able to be on the field. Finally, some players haven't moved their perception much so far, like Will Levis, who hasn't been incredible over the last month, but still has plenty of upside to tap into during training camp.

Is Sweat's absence concerning? Yes. But Ran's moves throughout the off-season help the fans trust him. This team looks entirely different from what we're used to and the excitement from that overshadows Sweat's concerning behavior

I'm a fan of the Sweat pick, but saying his stock is down for missing the whole OTA season is realistic. Of course, putting too much stock in OTAs is unrealistic itself, but to miss the entirety of OTAs just seems like a good call to say stick is down.

We forget that Big Jeff was drafted hurt and missed most of season one. If Sweat was more than a NT then I would be worried. I’m not expecting him on the field that often or do do more than take on an extra block, I’m not worried.

Ok, let's think about something regarding Sweat. Him missing OTAs is not a good sign. However, I'm trying to be optimistic. Could they be working on his conditioning off the field? He has shown to have a good skill set, so maybe conditioning is their priority? Would they work on conditioning off the field? I'm not a coach, and you obviously know way more than I do, I’m just a massive fan of our Titans. Just a thought, and I'd like your input on this, Tyler. However, if this isn't the case, I fully agree it's a bad start for him.

I fully agree, I didn’t like him in the second round for the reasons you’ve pointed out. I’m fingers crossed over here in CO that he does well. I think best case, he relieves some pressure/double teams off Simmons for 2 downs, maybe 3 if they are truly focusing on his conditioning. Let’s all pray he proves us wrong. Right now they say he’s fine, they just don’t want to risk him severely hurting himself before camp starts. Gabe Jeudy Lally was actually a pretty solid corner for the Vols, so I expected him to represent well for whatever team he landed on. He deserved to get drafted, but perhaps his going undrafted was largely because of measurables and small sample size of starting time.

Buck Rising reported that the Titans were offered number 52 number 157 and the next year's second round pick for our second round pick. Based upon where the players were drafted, we could have had 80 Adonai Mitchell, Mohamed Kamara and an extra second round pick in next year's draft. I am a True Believer an interior defensive line value, but I think we passed up on a lot to get a fat two down DT
