Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales - 1963-64

Tennessee, a wise-cracking penguin, and his dim-witted pal, Chumley, resided in the Megalopolis Zoo. They were constantly scheming against zookeeper Stanley Livingston and his assistant Flunky, in an attempt to raise the quality of zoo-life. Once Tennessee had his plan in mind, he was single-minded in his pursuit, exclaiming "Tennessee Tuxedo will not fail!" Once their projects failed- and they always failed- they would consult their educated friend, Phineas J. Whoopie, and his 3-D BB (a three dimensional blackboard). The 3-D BB helped demonstrate basic scientific principles through the use of instructional film clips.

Back when cartoons were awesome! One of my favorites. I still watch to this day. Shame they don't air it on TV anymore. They're pretty much unheard of now. It's amazing what I've learned from these and other great cartoons.

because back then the film/cartoon makers had *good intentions* ; they cared for the education, health, & the future of the kids(us). but not today; today the film/cartoon makers have *NO good intentions,* on the contrary they have All the BAD INTENTIONS while making their films/cartoons; they're actually hoping & making sure their films/cartoons would mislead, deceive, & destroy the lives of children (today's kids), and they succeed. look around your town, any town, & see millions of crackhead teens.

Yea!! I loved it too and still do. Trying to find other educational cartoons to show my child but can't really find much cartoons these days with some educational content but presented in a fun, not too preachy, kind of way. Does anyone have any other recommendations for similar educational cartoons where the whole premise ISN'T either putting on make up for women themed/looking pretty with rainbows and for the boys, being a superhero or making fart jokes :D
