Gaston or Merk could run this offense and move the ball. I was a bit more impressed with Merk and his long ball accuracy and touch. Great leg speed as well. Like to see more of 6'7 Browder. His reach for the ball vs the secondary was like a man playing keep away from children. Secondary looked more physical but no answer for Browder. Impressed all around.

Great points JD. I too think the defense takes a step this year and I do think the offense will be better than last year. The combo could result in a decent chance at finishing top 3 in the SEC which, I do think, is borderline good enough for the playoff.

When Pruitt got fired most of the defense transferred. It's not a perfect excuse, but at some point, I believe the roster only had a couple linebackers on it. It was always going to take years to rebuild the defense; thankfully, we got relatively lucky in the transfer portal with offensive recruits that has led to a great start to the Heupel era.

Great Video, Thanks for all the hard work. Tennessee takes it one play at a time. We can have a 10-2 season. I believe we will beat Alabama in Knoxville. Because that’s a tall order for Alabama to bring in a new set of Coaches, plays, and culture without stumbling. Oklahoma and Georgia will be hard to beat on the road but not impossible. A good game plan with a few surprises could have things our way when the time runs out.

Nico played for 4 total drives, 3 were 3 and outs, and the other was a TD. NOT an 8 million dollar performance at all. UT should be slightly concerned about him being the go-to guy in the fall. Another thing worth noting is that UT defense hasnt been good, so that wasnt why Nico struggled.
