@grizi1508
@grizi1508 2 жыл бұрын
@@pierce1234567891 I guess the hawk eye is only for the audience to see whether the ball is out or not. You can have challenges and the umpire look at the ball mark as many as you want, there is no challenge limit on clay as far as I know. But I think it's stupid, if they want to keep line umpires they can, just put in the hawk eye system and challenge limit. Saves for much drama.

He is mentally strong. He is very inconsistent, but that's something else. He fucked himself completely up vs Sonego and lost second set, but still won the match. Try put Paire in the same scenario and he would go on to lose the 3rd set 6-0 and blame the umpire for losing that match. Shapovalov just needs to get better at focussing.

When the commentators and the spectators watching at home, thousands of miles away, can see Hawkeye replays showing the exact bounce, and yet the officials get it wrong because they have no access, and they check the WRONG mark, then WTAF is wrong with the tournament officiating??? This is a bloody disgrace to the efficacy of the game. When literally every person in the crowd has access to a smartphone with a camera in it, yet the umpire and referee are unable to use camera replays? A joke. An absolute joke. These "drama" videos are just full of mistakes from the officials. And we wonder why the players get upset? And then the players are the ones who collect penalties, when the root cause is the officials not being able to do their jobs right in the first instance. Also, why is it we can see on the reply the bounce, or double bounce, but the officials cannot access the same video? FAA was robbed. And some of that was due to the previous one, where Novak intimidated the referee, who made the following call Novak's way, when it was incorrect. Again, use technology, and these issues disappear.

Umpires also need to realise that they make stupid calls sometimes. This game has traditionally evolved into such a soft game as mentally that everything seems a mental breakdown for players...

So when a player gets an "unsportsmanlike conduct" code violation they have to pay a $20,000.00 fine?

Ok I have to admit i don't watch tennis religiously, like a match here and there and thats it, so can anyone please explain why there's no hawkeye on clay? It seems to be the reason for so many arguments, when the technology already exists...

See here: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYizhaqrnpKKmpY Roland Garros has tested it and there were times the image did not match the real mark on the ground. Apparently calibration of it is trickier on clay than other surfaces. So while some broadcasts are showing it it's possible that they're showing something wrong

Haigh had an absolute shocker. Some of these umpires when they have such a shocker need to be pulled for a few tournaments so they can sharpen up. Get HE on clay courts!

I don't know if its just my opinion or there is absolutely zero sportsmanship in tennis.. idk how Shapo can be happy with the point absolutely stolen from Sonego on 15-15 when he put the ball back in... it should have been at least replay of point and Shapo should have said it.. but no, zero sport manners or how to say it.. its so sad... sorry for my english, im not native speaker

Richard Haigh is one terrible umpire. His decisions are most of the time controversial or just completely wrong.

Chair umpire: You can't cross the net. I have to give you point penalty. Shapovalov: You are so stupid. It's unfair. Me: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's crazy I feel like matchs can be easily corrupt. It's all rigged. If you complain you get warning, fines . That's crazy you dropping your racket violently you get code violation. They have to understand that's sportsmanlike , players have emotions sometimes it feels good to evacuate your frustrations/ anger that's human .

Shapovalov not knowing that a tennis player can't cross the net is so funny. Dennis Shapovalov in that match made so dumb statements. He was blaming umpire and supervisor for his own inability to understand that a tennis player can't cross the net according to official tennis rules and regulations.

Also, I don’t like Moutet, but taking two medical breaks right before his serve both times is cheating, and he should be fined.
