Continuing the testing of my recently developed in-play scalping automation strategy for tennis.

Well that's completely fallen off a cliff for me today after some promising early result. Just wondered how you fared? (not expecting to be spoon fed, or given any particular settings by the way). If of course you're still testing this? I can see a few areas where I could improve a thing or 2, but not sure if it would make a huge difference overall

I tested it against three matches early this morning and all were profitable but not wildly so. Barely made £20 in each of them. Those markets were quite thin which may, or may not, have had something to do with it.

Early days Daniel. Theoretically it can be applied to any market though this one is obviously geared towards tennis. Hopefully sometime this week I will release a video tutorial show a generic version that can be adapted for any market.

Ive had a go at creating this and whilst im sure i am missing a few conditions that make the trades more viable, my main issue right now is i'm having problems with the Green Up not always working correctly. Im using Green up All Selections and its showing as available, but it doesn't implement it or cancel the unmatched bets... ?? Do you get yours to trigger more than once?

What do you mean by "its showing as available"? Is the 'Green Up All Selections' rule executing? Is it configured to cancel unmatched bets? Have you configured to green up when the market P/L hits a certain value? If the rule is not firing then is is being prevented from doing so by conditions you've set or the start/stop times you've configured. Switch on the 'Show Condition Values' option in the 'Automation' tab to help you troubleshoot where the issue might lie.

@@betyourlife Thanks for your replay, I know your a busy man! I men, It was showing as an overall Green Up for profit. But the Green up wasn't working, because (i think) more bets continued to be placed into the market and it would upset the Green up trade. I've started setting the initial trade to 1 and then using a delay "dummy" rule to check the P/L conditions for green up and slow it all down a bit, that seems to have worked. And ive introduced a condition that will not green up all if the overall profit on 1 selections looks like the likely outcome. Ive had some joy with that. But sometimes.... I place a lay and the back doesnt get matched and then thats just a looser all ends up! But that's to be expected.

Alistair, when you get some free time I wonder if you could assist me please? When you place a "green-up" rule for a set figure of say "£10.00 or greater" how can I stop further "trades" being placed if I meet that target - also, all other pending "lay/backs" being cancelled? (I do have the "box"ticked" "Cancel Umatched and Pending Bets" in the "Green-Up selection" rule.)

It's quite straight forward Robin. Make it a condition for each rule that places a bet/trade that your green up for £10 rule has not fired, i.e. the 'Rule Number Of Executions' for your green up rule = 0. As soon as your green up rule fires, your bet/trade submission rules are prevented from firing. Note that this does NOT necessarily stop other trades going in if you are using repeat on success. To stop those, it is best to explicitly cancel bets using the 'Cancel Bets' action prior to the green up rule firing.

@@betyourlife Sorry, to be a pain in the"""" Alistair! The "Green Up" selection rule is all working fine. The problem I have is that quite often I have 2 or 3 "Back Bets" on the "2nd player" that haven't been "matched" after the "Green Up" selection rule has done it's job. I know I can "manually" cancel them but, is there a way to automate this? Please only reply when you have some free time. (I have looked at a lot of your videos today but, might of missed the answer.)

Without knowing exactly what you are doing there's a number of things you might want to consider: 1. For each rule that is firing in trades repeatedly set a condition that your green up rule has not executed. Doing so will stop the trade submission process on green up. 2. You could execute your green up rule multiple times to tidy things up. However, beware that if your green up rule fires when a target profit is hit, subsequent executions may not fire if the market has moved on and the target profit requirement is no longer met. 3. Consider greening up on selection rather than green up all. Betfair uses cross matching in tennis markets which can cause issues. See this video for further info - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioSvd6Gnoptqhc0 4. Set up a cancel all rule that clears any stragglers after the green up rule has fired. You'll need to implement a delay to give the green up bets time to get matched.

Yes, at the moment, until I'm happy with the strategy. So far things have gone well but it's early days and I haven't had a situation where I need to get out of difficulty.
