I just got one and was shocked at how much tension my strings have lost in a short space of time. It’s a great tool to have!
@ZeroLoveTennis Жыл бұрын
Haha well it's usually less than you strung right away and more the next day and even more after the first hit! I don't use it as much since settling on restring zero and toroline wasabi. I know how they age but this was really good in my testing days.
@Phoniq Жыл бұрын
yeh it was an eye opener. I know so many people that haven't re-strung in years and laugh when I say you should try a low tension. Little do they know they're probably playing @ 30lbs with dead strings@@ZeroLoveTennis
@ZeroLoveTennis Жыл бұрын
Also that the crosses are quite a bit lower than you'd expect stringing at same tension!
@Phoniq Жыл бұрын
Yeh I noticed that. I found about 5 or more lower across all my sticks@@ZeroLoveTennis

its good for relative tension loss but not actual dynamic tension

Yeah, had those in the early 90s. They were wrong then and are wrong now 😂

This device doesn´t give real string tension. It only gives you a measure of the tension loss in your stringbed (1st measure when the racket goes out of the stringing machine, 2nd measure after the racket has been played or stored).
@ZeroLoveTennisАй бұрын
Yeah that sounds pretty fair. I think I was clear about that in the video, no? Maybe not. Only get 60 seconds here but in the several times I have mentioned this product, I say something along those lines.

. Muchas gracias por responder.

Hi, I used google to translate this comment so I assume you will try the same? You could try the same strings at just a few pounds lower. Doesn't need to be too big a difference with that racket but some 18x20's will want to be done much lower. I'm not sure what the question was for the Radical or Speed Pro but it said "bounce" which feels like a translation thing that was not ideal.

It's linked on my amazon storefront. Is that easy to find, btw? I'll link you if not. You can find it a few places though. IDK what area you are searching from.

It's really inaccurate, sometimes gave me a reading higher than I strung it, much better off investing in an ERT300
@ZeroLoveTennis8 ай бұрын
I might! It's been reliable for me actually haha. But I always have my reference tension to compare to. It's also nice to measure cross and mains separately.

Is this thing accurate?
@ZeroLoveTennis Жыл бұрын
Relatively? Yes. In general? It's decently accurate. Should be within a few pounds or so. It's pretty good about adjusting to gauge and so on. Really, the best way is to measure right after stringing so you know what it says vs what you actually did and you can adjust for how off it is down the road, to measure tension loss.

@@ZeroLoveTennis thanks mate... I watched your video on racket reviews too and I like your judgement. I'm currently using Ezone Osaka 100 and I wonder what racket would help my swing speed (or no racket at all, just more push ups 😂). I don't know my rank level but I'm quite a newbie
@ZeroLoveTennis Жыл бұрын
Hard to say, if you are beginner where you could improve because it could be everything lol. But from personal experience, I think the 98 swings faster than the 100. Technique matters a lot but it is just a fact that some rackets will swing faster than others will. You could try it sometime just to see if it fits your game or way you want to hit a ball a lot better. I really hate playing with rackets that swing slow and pull away from me.

Where can i buy this device?
@2002MX5 Жыл бұрын
The original string meter measured the actual tension on one string accurately. The dipshits who bought them out, tried to estimate what a racquet was strung at from the same information and giving you a bullshit reading. It is useless.
