It's so great that Nishioka is willing to share these details of his serve with people. I don't see many active ATP or WTA players going into this level of detail about any of there strokes. Kudos to Yoshihito and Star Tennis Academy for bringing this type of content to the tennis-loving public. Cheers!

The more these guys ask detailed technical questions about where they put their weight, how they take the racquet back, how much they bend their knees, the more we find that good players generally don't think or over think about those small things. As Nishioka said in the beginning, he is just focusing on placing the balls in certain areas and having a high percentage go in. He's got a helluva good serve. Also interesting to hear how he watches and imitates other players. Many people are visual learners and perform by simply by having a certain image in their head.

I like his willingness to share his secrets to viewers. It looks like he’s thought about his strengths and weaknesses very much and tried to develop many weapons to beat the opponents. Hope to see him playing at a tour game more.

There is so much knowledge in your observations! I can't see nowhere else on the net such a fine analysis of every aspects of the technique! So interresting to hear Yoshihito talking about his height and how he manages his mooves according to, in a constant way to succeed. Your videos are the pure definition of what teaching tennis should be

*No one in these comments can criticize Nishioka. You all are mere club players while he is a professional. His serve and groundstrokes, everything are much, much higher level than you. Please be smart and humble, you will win zero games from Nishioka!*

It’s funny how no one was in the first place but your arrogant self felt the need to say it. Also, you have no ground to call him good since you’re not pro, using your logic! Anyone, good or bad, can criticize anyone. Why can poor men criticize rich politicians? Because it is natural to do so. Also, criticism and calling someone bad are two totallly different things

I am always curious about the trajectory of the ball for short players; whether to hit the ball slightly downward or parallel to the ground for fast serves.

A lot of lefties don't have great kick serves. Goran for example. Their slice to thr backhand is their most useful serve. For righties, we need to work on our kick serves to go to the backhand

like who? i mean the best serve is probably ivo... but it's unlikely i'll have a growth spurt to close to 7' any time soon... what i love about this guy, is that he's short (like me), and has less margin so has to have very good technique. also love that he doesn't serve huge (ie. dosn't have super fast twitch speed like kyrgios)... so with margin speed (eg. 180-200kmh), he provides insights on how he uses a "weak" serve and make it work...
