@@ranga1979 You can be inducted in a variety of categories. Members vote. Diversity was of course a factor, but that’s not my issue. No one said Payless didn’t achieve anything. Of course he did. But he was utterly tasteless in the boasting of his tertiary accomplishments. Especially given the luminaries in singles who were seated on stage. Say thank you, give a shout out to your family, & sit down. Arbitrage & Faith Evans by comparison were much more gracious.

I watched him in Jakarta..in '90es when INDIA met INDONESIA in Davis Cup...AsianZone ..I was marvelled by the way he played..so quick and technically superbe..Indonesia lost to India in that meeting but I found a new favorit tennis player in LEANDER..❤❤❤

I made my entire family watch the induction ceremony live on Tennis Channel. The passion with which Leander played as an individual, as a Davis Cup player, and as an Olympian is an inspiration for all aspiring Tennis players everywhere. Achievements such as inspiring others cannot be put on a scorecard or a trophy. Leander is very deserving of being in the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Great guy who punched beyond his weight for the country, but was content with allowing his emotions to get the better of the competitiveness of the sport.. A better serve, he could have been a consistent top 30 player.. but then one of the few players to have a positive H2H with Sampras and thankfully didn't cry on the day he beat him.. Very glad and happy that the Potential was met in doubles where he very deservingly embraced a GOAT league.. Ty Leander

More like, moving to the exit. It was an overly long speech and after 10 minutes it ultimately devolved into an unbecoming display of heavy-handed humblebrags & obsequiousness that did little to disrupt the stereotype of tennis players as self-involved braggarts. Arbitrage & Richie Rich gave MUCH better speeches that exercised true humility & respected people's time and attention spans.
