Is your keyboard or mouse giving you Mouse Elbow or causing you wrist pain? - tenniselbowclassroom.com/treatments/10-tips-to-heal-mouse-elbow/
If your neck, shoulder, wrist or elbow is killing you, because of your desktop or laptop computer, don't just pop another handful of pills or slap another ice pack on it!…
Here are three key tips on what to do about it - Especially if you have Mouse Elbow, Computer Wrist OR Tennis Elbow pain!
('Mouse Elbow' is very likely either Tennis or Golfer's Elbow)
And heads up to Tennis Elbow sufferers, because there's a VERY good chance your computer use / poor Ergonomics are contributing to your pain and dysfunction - Even if it's not the primary cause!
This video covers the three biggest ergonomic factors, as I see them - The Big 3 adjustments that have benefited me tremendously over the years with all the time I've spent on my computer editing my own videos and creating content for my site.
I'll leave the 7 other suggestions for you to read in my article, '10 Tips To Healing Mouse Elbow' - If you want more suggestions and details, beyond the ergonomic:

Doing desk work the past 6 years has taken a huge toll on my arms. I'm wearing two wrist braces and two tennis elbow braces at this very moment. I think my only option for recovery is PT and 1-3 months of from my job.

Sorry to hear that, 430 - I think I'm going to suggest watching my video on braces: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKqwgGtum7tsmas

@@TennisElbowClassroom well, the specialist did say he doesn't recommend braces similar to what your video showed. It's pretty much the only way I can make it through a work day though. Well, with the assistance of Celebrex I can make it with no braces, but it wears off and I'll be hurting again. For supposedly having bilateral tennis elbow, my elbows just do not hurt like I would expect them too. My wrists and forearms get inflammation badly though. Have you seen and heard from others experience the same things?

What do you think of ergonomic mice (ones that have kind of obscure shapes)?

All I can say is try it. I tried a vertical mouse thinking it would be more ergonomic - which it is, in theory - but I couldn't stand it.

@@TennisElbowClassroom I tried a vertical mouse and it hurts worse to use than a standard wireless mouse. I also found using the gel pad mouse rest was more uncomfortable than not using a mouse rest at all.

I have bilateral lateral and medial epicondylitis. It hurts the most when doing my job which involves a lot of typing and using a mouse. Do I need to stop working altogether to give the tendons a rest, or is it enough to just take short breaks during the work day while I also take your online course?

I don't believe that most people who do low intensity "non physical" work, like on a computer need to stop working in order to recover. (There are always exceptions.) I believe the more important factor / question is "what are you doing to treat it the rest of the time?" If you're doing the right things to treat it you hopefully won't need that kind of "total rest" which often doesn't help. Although, some people who have sports injury Tennis or Golfer's Elbow or who do heavy, physical work for a living, like construction, sometimes need to take time off to recover. (Thanks for joining my program!) An, yes, taking frequent breaks - and hopefully doing some therapy and stretching while taking them - is a very good idea.

Steven, it sounds like I'm in the same boat as you. Nothing I have done relieves my pain. I take celebrex to reduce inflammation pain, do band and light weight stretches randomly, I wear wrist braces and elbow braces off and on. I've recently removed my arm wrests from my office and home chairs. How are you doing now a year later from your original comment?

UNDER the mouse, yes "mouse pad" - but not in front of the mouse under your wrist "wrist rest pad" (in my opinion)
