People throw around words like "feel" too much at this point.

Coach gu should just use the rp dampener and maybe lower his tension to 55.

At $10/grip, seeing as how any moderate player should be changing out their grip every week or so, that's a very expensive solution.

We are paying for this radical technology. It's hard to believe that an overgrip can solve tennis elbow. So many factors involved- racket stiffness, choice of strings, and arm fitness/strength.
@christopherconte6241
@christopherconte6241 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t. I love this channel but a lot of what causes tennis elbow is the string set , tension and form. I was getting tennis elbow with my racket stringing ice code at 54-55 lbs. when I added a leather grip, dropped tension and went to a soft poly at 53 lbs - no more discomfort.

Ordered from their website. Got a confirmation email they received my order then never shipped it. Customer service is completely unresponsive. Had to contact my credit card to stop payment. Don’t waste your time with this company. There’s a reason the tennis websites don’t carry their products.

And how much does it cost? 136$? Nothing agains ads, but better to mark it as a promotion. Btw you previously said number of times that you 1) like the feel (=vibrations), 2) that you don’t believe that a dampener can prevent tennis elbow… so now you changed your mind and don’t like vibrations anymore (and feel) as wells as you believe that TE which is caused in most times by overuse or simply wrong technique can be prevented by just an overgrip? 😃 Good job 👍🏼

VT Advantec makes good products. I haven't tried this over-grip, but their racket dampening strips work extremely well. They also have exceptional customer service...

What makes me skeptic, is that I can't find any proof of concept anywhere. There is a lot of talk about science when reading about their products. But the science is only a description of the material properties. Where is the real science? Surely it would be easy to test the amount of vibrations that reach the arm in a controlled environment, and compare it to other materials/grips. And I'm sure they must of done this. If those results were good, surely they would be used for marketing their products. Proof of concept is a sure winner. Instead there is nothing. Also if we look at the big racket companies, remembering that they sell most of their rackets to non-professionals, would they not have picked this up a long time ago? Using similar materials for their grips. Knowing that it could increase comfort and sales for a certain racket? Instead the focus on the frame. Surely there must be a reason.
