I'm still of the opinion that you can only pull off the banana shot as consistently as Rafa has if you have an incredible sense of balance and stability. Especially in the core area. Rafa has an incredible sense of balance and stability that I believe contributed to a lot of the incredible and powerful shots he hits.

Carlos forehand (down the line or inside out) might be their new signature with the things seen in Beijing. Way more lethal than the dropshot
@amsd12313 ай бұрын
The dropshot is lethal BECAUSE Alcaraz's forehand is so big. The opponent is pushed back into the court and they're expecting another bullet of a forehand then Carlos drops a gentle dropshot in front of the net. Deadly.
@mocee833 ай бұрын
@@amsd1231 100%, you tubers reviewing this drop shot and creating all types of philosophies about how and when but its simple and exactly like u pointed out, the monster forehand which players r expecting and instead get hit with the drop shot, very deadly indeed.

Honestly Federer's inside out forehand is not a signature shot at all. Everyone hits those very frequently, and Fed wasn't the first to create it. Novak's sliding backhand and nadal's banana forehand are vintage signature shots. If you have to put one for Roger, I'd say SABR is more unique to him.
