@gayavardan7 ай бұрын
@@ar50000Apricots are originally the fruit of Armenia. It's literally called Prunus Armeniaca. Pomegranate is more about the ancient times and history. In Armenian mythology it symbolizes fertility. There are records of bread being made of pomegranate seeds for young women for fertility purposes. Many elders also say that silver belts with pomegranates engraved were common gifts to brides to wish them health and lots of children. As for the flag, the particular shade is called "ծիրանագույն" the apricot colour but I reckon it symbolizes the wheat crop, the hay, basically, the fertility of the land. Sidenote, there is a serious cult of bread here, so the crop makes a lot more sense.

I think Europe is a continent of many different very old and cultured countries and Eurovision should be a tool to showcase and grow culture in Europe. I think it would be very nice to have Eurovision feature a lot of cultural dance and music. Culture is what makes us human. It's what makes us who we are. It's what defines us as a species. Nobody can beat you at being you. So, we must bring our own culture to the stage and let our true selves shine through.

And by the way, your commentators last year were wrong. France is giving high score not because of a large Armenian population (which is also large in Russia), but because Armenians have shaped the arts and culture of France, especially in music and cinema. France and Armenia are very close in artistic realm.
