One had lost to Arthur Ashe and another played barefoot and could serve so hard that he could bounce it over the fence. I was the weakie 6th man, but I won 8 out of 9 matches despite losing set number one every time I competed. Dogged determination and positive attitude wins most college matches in my not so humble imagination/opinion!!!
