That descending melody at the very end was extremely beautiful and helped connect the warmup to actual singing (with words no less) I would love to see more of these exercises at the end of your videos.

Jeff, thank you. Today I focused on the chambers in my skull and sinuses during the vowels along with my breath. The last exercise gave me a nice buzz in my teeth and under my nose. (So I know it was working!) Had fun. Sounding better each day. Thanks again.

Hi, I have a question! I can scream (not beautifully) up to B5 on the piano, and perhaps sing with more sophistication up to something like an E5. Now I wonder how far this video goes, what are the highest notes? Also, thank you so much for your videos, I use them daily and it develops me enormously. Hugely appreciated. I'm happy to contribute to the channel and purchase your lessons. Keep the good work up, and last, what are your suggestions to becoming a fantastic singer? Best regards Stellan

Hi jeff. Thank you again for the great exercises. When you warm up your voice, do you keep open the connection between your throat and your nasal cavity or do you close it ? Thank you in advance for your answer.
@JeffRolka3 жыл бұрын
It's open, though there are some exercises that close it in order to adjust/assess resonances and airflow. Great question!!!! Thank you for being here! Jeff

I just discovered your channel, and did the alto warmup which I was comfortable with, but i had no idea I could go full tenor range. Is the proper term for that contralto?
@JeffRolka5 жыл бұрын
You are right. The lower female vocal range is a contralto. There is quite a lot of overlap between the tenor and contralto fachs though the registration events will be in different locations and as such, phonation practices on any given pitch within the overall tessitura will differ. Best! JEff
