Can the Microfreak handle lots of sequenced program change messages from the Digitakt smoothly?
@percboi30002 жыл бұрын
Yes it should be fine with this. You could even use the digi to sequence changes in oscillator type/shape/timbre which sounds very cool

Can you sync them straight without midi thru box or audio interface?

Yep! The MicroFreak needs one of those little 5pin midi > CV adapters. Midi out of Digitakt to midi in on MF via the little converter

Amazing bro! Question; just got the freak. How do you use multiple midi tracks to get different sounds? I thought you could only use one... which is track 9 on channel 1 for me.
@SKRDyaheard4 жыл бұрын
I see track 9 and 10 lighting up as well. aside from 13 and 14
@percboi30004 жыл бұрын
The MicroFreak cannot play multiple timbers at once, it is limited to one patch at a time but it is polyphonic, so I like to send multiple different sequences to it to create some more melodic changes.
@SKRDyaheard4 жыл бұрын
@@percboi3000 nice! thought so, so like a very low bassy sound and a higher pitch from the same patch. Mind me asking how you arrange that on the digi?
@percboi30004 жыл бұрын
bassalucas yeh something like that. and yes so the digi has up to 8 midi tracks, I set them to send midi out on different channels depending on the synth. set 2/3 tracks to the same channel & switch between them for a song mode type thing
@wallbrown18764 жыл бұрын
@@percboi3000 little late here but great track man,really enjoyed.You made the freak sound huge. A question regarding what you answered here.I consider pairing the DT with a freak soon too. Wanted to ask,if I set 2/3 midi tracks like you said to the same midi channel,will messing with the cc parameters on either track on the DT affect the others too? So for example I may mess with the filter parameter on midi track one(low notes),but if any higher notes play on a different track at the same time,they will be affected as well am I right?Unless you p.lock I guess...

@@percboi3000 thanks for the reply. I just ordered (2) 1/8th inch to 5 pin male midi cables. You really do have an awesome musical style. I’m really wanting an MFB Dominion 1 and or the MFB Synth Pro. What’s your thoughts on those two synths? I also want an Allen & Heath Xone DB4. My goal is to play live. Question: Do you have a mixer?
@percboi30003 жыл бұрын
@@constantine5555 no prob, appreciate you having a listen and happy to answer questions. Sounds cool the db4 would be awesome for playing live, lots of effects and routings. I have a soundcraft EPM in the studio to mix my synths but I recently picked up an Octatrack mk2 to use as a live mixer/sampler (some videos soon). As for the MFB synths I’m not sure, unfortunately never had my hands on either but they sound good in any demos I’ve heard!
